You Came From Afar
You came from above the stars
shimmering in your royal robe of white,
Floating behind you like a cloud in the night
Surrounded by a aura of light.
An Angel , bringing beauty to flight.
You had come from afar,
Like a rising star,
To guard my new life,
As God's heavenly Wife,
Precious as Gold ,
You said I would be,
To the master of my soul
In the future he'd see
To the right, he would whisper,
In my ear
For perfect love casts out fear,
On the path I would stay,
Angel upholding me
Along the right way,
Leading me onward,
To God day by day......
Surely I won't stray...
