Open with a pan over the New York skyline at night. Fade into a scene to where we pan along the skyline as the sun rises.

Fade to inside Alex's Loft. The morning sun is shining through a large window. We fade to Alex's bedroom. We pan over to Alex's bed. Both Craig and Alex lay there kissing and caressing each other. The alarm on the bedside table goes off. It's 6am.

Craig sighs as he reaches over Alex and turns it off. He looks back at Alex who is smiling. He smiles back and kisses her again

Craig - We didn't get much sleep

Alex - We didn't do much talking either, like we had decided we were going to do.

Craig - We wasted too much time. I'm done talking. I want to show you how I feel.

Alex - (smiles and flips Craig over so she is on top) Me too!

Alex kisses Craig more before she sighs and sits up as she straddles him. She gets a concerned look on her face

Craig - What's wrong?

Alex - How much do you know about Morgan?

Craig - Seriously? You want to talk about Morgan in this position?

Alex - Who is she? She just shows up out of nowhere, with zero explanation of where, when and why she's here and now what? We're all best friends? How much does she know about what we do?

Craig - (sighs as he moves Alex off him and he gets up to grab his pants.) We had quite the adventure in India and she's an Amazon. I've seen her fight. She can handle it.

Alex - Really?

Craig - (gets dressed) Her destiny is also connected to ours.

Alex - Who told you that?

Craig - An Archangel

Alex - (stared at him incredulously) We really should have talked more

Craig - (leans over and kisses Alex) I was more focused on you.

Alex - (smiles) Good answer. I still want to know what Morgan's deal is

Craig - I have an appointment with the Dean at NYU in a few hours. Go talk to Eve, get to know Morgan. She's on our side. And really, with what we fight, we can use all the friends we can get.

Craig gives Alex one more kiss and walks out. Alex looks determined as she flips the covers off her bed to get dressed.

Cut to the entrance outside the centre early morning. We pan up the building to the window of Eve's apartment. Fade into Eve's apartment where Eve is folding up a few blankets. Alex just barges in and slams the door. Eve looks over.

Eve - Knocking is never going to be a thing with you is it?

Alex - And have you ignore me? Please. (walks over to the bedroom and looks in and around) Can I talk to you alone for a minute?

Eve- (sighs and rolls her eyes) She's in the shower. So, what don't you like about her?

Alex - Its not that I don't like her. I just don't know her. You don't know her!

Eve- Alex, there was a time you didn't know me

Alex - You're a superhero!! We brought you here for a reason! Why is she here?

Eve - I invited her. She's been set on a path and believes in what we fight for. She was told her destiny is connected to ours and we should help her fulfill it.

Alex - So that's it? We barely know a thing about her and you're going to take her out there expose her to the truth . . .

Eve - She helped me defeat a demon king in India, I think she can handle it

Alex - . . . and trust her to have our back in life and death situations?

Eve - Yes! She's a reincarnation of Varia!

Alex - Who hated you! Who tried to kill you!

Eve - Varia was trustworthy and a great queen of the Amazon nation. Morgan has that wisdom inside of her.

Alex - She was cagy and evasive last night. She's keeping something from us.

Eve - She was tired and jetlagged. And as you've so pointed out she doesn't even know us, why should she tell us things she'd rather keep to herself? If there is something she wants to share, she will tell us in time.

Alex - Secrets end up causing trouble.

Eve - (sighs)I do sense that she has . . . issues. But I'm not going to force her in to confronting that. Trust comes with respect you know.

They hear the shower stop from the bathroom and Eve and Alex both look in the direction of the sound before Eve puts the blankets away

Alex - (In a hurried whisper)That goes both ways!

Eve rolls her eyes and sighs

Alex - (sighs a little in defeat) And I guess it wouldn't hurt a get to know her a little before I make any definite judgements on her character

Eve - (smiles and gives Alex's arm a light squeeze of reassurance) Thank you

Morgan just then comes out of the bathroom fully dressed and with her wet hair in a loose bun.

Morgan - Thanks for the use of the shower

Eve - No problem

Morgan - And thanks for letting me crash here until I find a more permanent place to stay.

Eve - If you're looking for rental space, I'm sure Alex can take you around. She knows where the good lofts are and they're cheap too.

Alex - (looks over at Eve and gives her a glare as to say 'what are you doing?' then turns back to Morgan with a strained smile) Yeah I guess I could. So you're planning on staying?

Morgan - My destiny is connected to Eve's. She's the Messenger and it's my mission to protect her to repay the debt owed to her in my first life.

Alex - Excuse me?

Eve - Morgan is trying to make amends for Varia's transgressions against me. (alluding to the earlier conversation) You know, the hating and trying to kill me part. (looks to Morgan) But as I've said, Varia owed me nothing.

Morgan - Karmic dept. It has to be repaid. That's why I'm here. Why are you here?

Alex - (offended) What!?

Eve - (sensing the tension) Alex's life and mine are intertwined. My title as the Bringer of Twilight brought about circumstances that resulted in her birth. And it needed to happened because Alex helped Craig bring me into this time.

Morgan - Wow. Intense

Alex - Yeah. So what about you huh? What's your story? Where you from?

Morgan - Uh oh. Here we go. The third degree to see if I'm legitimate.

Alex - I just want to get to know you. After all I don't know anything.

Morgan - Not much to know. I'm originally from Canada left a few years back to travel. I came across the Amazons and stayed with them for awhile. They told me of my destiny. Then I met Eve. I finally figured out where I was supposed to be in life. Went back home, tied up a few loose end and now I'm here. The rest is just filler.

Alex - That's it?

Morgan - (smiles) Yep. (gets a bottle a gel out of her duffel bag) Now if you'll excuse me

Morgan promptly walks back into the bathroom and shuts the door leaving Alex to look at Eve with an exasperated look as Eve just shrugs.

Cut to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. A blond man smoking a cigarette walks out of the airport doors. He looks around with disgust. He throws the cigarette down and grounds it with his foot into the ground.

Cut to the centre as it's swarming with people. Morgan sits on a chair by the register as Eve rings a couple people through.

Morgan - Wow! This place is busy!

Eve - (smiles) Yeah we do some pretty good business. Its all Alex's doing. Who knew a demi god could run a business. She put a lot of work in and it paid off.

Morgan - Alex is a demi god?!

Eve - Did we not mention that?!

Morgan - (defeated ) And this is like her temple or something?

Eve - (laughs) No!

Morgan - I guess there's no hope of me maybe getting a job here. I can tell she doesn't like me.

Eve - She just doesn't know you. I'll put in a good word if you're really looking to work here.

Morgan - I'm looking to work anywhere at the moment

Eve - I'll see what I can do

Eve walks over to Alex who just comes out of the backroom with a clip board and hands it to a delivery guy who smiles and nods

Eve - Alex can I talk to you?

Alex - No

Eve - But I wanted to ask you something

Alex - No

Eve - You don't even know what I'm going to ask

Alex - No.

Eve - Alex!

Alex - You want Morgan to work here and my answer is no!

Eve - (grabs the clipboard out of her hands) If you can't trust her, trust me. Give her a chance!

Alex - I'll think about it.

Just then Craig comes in dressed in a suit with his brief case and slams it victoriously on the bar counter as Morgan comes over to stand by Eve.

Craig - James make me up one celebratory smoothie while everyone congratulates me!

Alex - Someone's happy!

Craig - With good reason. I got my job back at the university.

Eve - Congratulations Craig! That's wonderful!

Craig - (comes around to the other side of the bar and gives Alex a light kiss on the cheek) And I have Alex to thank. She's been my inspiration!

Alex - (gets an uncomfortable look on her face as she blushes) Whatever

Craig - (accepts the smoothie James slides over) Thanks man. (turns to Morgan) You know Morgan if you're looking for a job I would be happy to give you a recommendation at the university. They are hiring for clerical positions

Alex looks nervously from Craig to Morgan and their exchange

Morgan - Really! You'd do that for me?

Craig - Sure!

Morgan - I don't know what to say.

Craig - Thank you would be a start

Morgan - I just don't really want to work under a man

Craig - You'd be working for the university not for me

Morgan - I just . . .

Craig - (walks over to Morgan and puts a hand on her arm) Morgan, I'm just trying to help you settle in. I did the same for Eve

Eve - And more . . .

Alex - (interjects suddenly) Besides she can't! She asked for a job here and I've decided to hire her

Morgan - You did?

Craig - You did?

Eve- You did?

Alex - Yeah. I mean just a trial run for now and I'll pay you of course. We'll see how you like it and how you do and if it works out I'll hire you full time.

Morgan - (surprised) Thanks

Alex goes off into the backroom and Craig goes after her and Eve sees them go with curiosity.

Morgan - Eve, you are a miracle worker

Eve - I don't think it was me that convinced her but you've got a job.

Morgan - Well at least it's a woman instead of a man

Eve - What is it with you and the male of the species?

Morgan - They're pigs!

Eve - So you've said before. What brought all this on?

Morgan - I'm an Amazon. What do you expect?

Eve - A real answer

Morgan gives Eve a weary hesitant look like she doesn't want to talk about it

Eve - (sighs) Okay I'll drop it. Do you want to come patrolling with us tonight?

Morgan - What exactly do you do when patrolling?

Cut to a cemetery as a demon launches itself at Eve. Eve ducks and takes out a sword, spins around and slices the demon's head off. It lands in a heap in front of Morgan. She looks down at it then back at Eve.

Eve - (sticks the sword into the ground and leans on the hilt) We have a common method among the group we like to call "snap or decap" The only sure fire way to kill a demon and/or demonic figure is to snap the neck or decapitate them. I don't usually go for that method though. I have a different power. You see I . . .

Morgan - Battling Bard scroll entitled "The Haunting of Amphipolous" Yeah I know all about that power.

Eve - (takes the sword out of the ground and throws it to Morgan who catches it) Right. That sword would be yours then. Now I don't expect you to fall right into the fold. I know this is a lot to take in. If you like, you can take it slow. I'm sure . . .

Morgan spots a demon and let's out a battle cry and charges toward the demon. She jumps up flips over and lands right in front of the demon just before she cuts it's head off.

Eve - . . .you'll be just fine.

Eve folds her arms as she watches Morgan fight another demon. Alex comes up to stand beside Eve as she watches Morgan fight

Eve - She's good

Alex - Yeah for a first timer.

Eve - Well, she is an Amazon

Cut to a shot of Morgan who head bangs a demon then brings out a sword and jams in right into his skull.

Alex - She irrational and impulsive. She has no control

Eve - (sarcastic) Gee now doesn't that sound familiar. (looks straight at Alex) I wonder who she reminds me of

Alex - (gets the hint) And isn't it bad enough having one of me around?!!

Eve - Horrid but I love you anyway. I just wish you give her the benefit of the doubt. I thought you had when you gave her that job

Alex - The centre and demon hunting are two different things. I have a bad feeling about her. And if there is one thing I've learned its to trust my instincts. If something seems wrong, it usually is.

Eve - Stop finding reasons to not trust her. She's not the mess you want her to be.

Morgan runs over. She covered in green slime

Alex - WHOA!

Morgan - Wha? Oh yeah demon guts. One of those demons really did a number when I sliced his head off. This is awesome. What a way to spend your nights!

Alex - It's not a hobby. It's a way of life

Eve - (senses a fight and intervenes) And we still have ground to cover. I'm going to do a once over in this area and then take the west side. Alex how about you and Morgan do a once over on the east side then round up the boys and we'll call it a night.

Eve walks off before Alex has a chance to respond about being stuck with Morgan. Alex sighs and looks at Morgan.

Alex - Okay you're with me. Come on

Alex and Morgan head out of the wooded area and onto a street. They head across to some buildings and into an alley way and out again farther into the city. The silence is almost deafening.

Morgan - You don't like me do you?

Alex - What?

Morgan - I'm not stupid and I'm not deaf. What is it about me that you find so threatening?

Alex - I do not find you threatening

Alex continues walking but Morgan stops. Alex doesn't notice Morgan stopping and continues talking

Cut to Morgan's face. We pan around to her ear as we hear what's she hearing. The scream of a woman is heard as she is thrown to the ground and kicked.

Cut back to Morgan face as she gasps

Cut back to Alex who is still walking and talking.

Alex - You see Morgan we have a way of life here that I have grown quite accustomed to. I thrive on stability and I hate change because I've come to the conclusion that change is bad. Change brings instability and that sucks. You, Morgan, are change . . .(turns around to find Morgan gone) What the . . .

Alex hears a scream and runs around the corner. She finds Morgan throwing a guy with a goatee and a leather jacket against the wall. A young woman screams in terror. Morgan punches the guy twice then pulls him by the collar and knocks him against the wall again making him hit his head making him slide to the ground. She the proceeds to kick him in the gut so hard he keeps hitting against the wall. She beating the life out of him!

COMMERCIAL

Cut to Morgan kicking the guy in the stomach. She's continuing to kick him as the woman just screams for Morgan to stop. Alex appears behind Morgan and pulls her off her. Morgan is still kicking and screaming and struggling with Alex as Alex pulls her away. Alex throws Morgan to the curb. Morgan gets up and moves to attack the unconscious man again but Alex pushes her back

Alex - Are you insane? What's wrong with you??!!

Morgan - He was beating her (gesturing to the scared woman dressed like a prostitute)That pig has to die!

Alex -(looks to the woman) Are you okay?

Woman - (shakes her head hastily) I . . . I'm fine. Vinney was just upset you know . . .cause I wasn't paying him back . . .you know . . . for stuff . . .

Alex looks to the bag of white powder that the woman is clutching and trying to conceal under her coat.

Alex - (sighs) Drugs

Morgan - Oh so he's a woman beater and a drug dealer (moves to attack him) son of a bi . . .

Alex - (pushes her back) BACK OFF! We call the police on things like these.(brings out her phone as she sees the woman begin to back away slowly) Hold it! You aren't exactly innocent. The police are going to want to talk to you too.

Morgan - She was being abused!

Alex - I heard you the first time! I don't know what ideas you gathered while you were with the Amazons but you've got a lot to learn while you're here with us!

Morgan scowls and crosses her arms while Alex makes a call to the police

Cut to later in the same street where there are a couple of police cars with an ambulance. Pan over from the ambulance to where the woman is talking with a police officer and looking very bored then pan over to Alex and Morgan talking with another police officer. Pan over farther to the other side of the street where Eve, Craig, Jeff and James are appearing from the alley way when they see the commotion. Eve sees Alex and Morgan

Eve - ALEX! MORGAN!

Alex looks over and Morgan hangs her head. Alex waves with a strained smile and gives the police officer a pat on the arm. He nods saying they are free to go. Alex and Morgan walk over to the others. Eve gasps as she spots the man Morgan was beating up on. He is being carried on a stretcher by paramedics. He is bruised all over. He his bleeding from the nose, lip and temple and he is groaning in pain while slipping in and out of consciousness. Jeff, Craig and James wince as if they feel his pain.

Eve - In the name of Eli! What happened to him?

Alex - Ask Super Amazon over here

Eve - (looks to Morgan surprised) Morgan?

Morgan - (very defensive) I saw something that was wrong and I handled the situation

Everyone look back to Alex who hold up her hands not saying anything and steps back slightly indicating she didn't have anything to do with what's going on

Morgan - (sighs) That bastard deserves every cut and bruise I gave him! And yeah I did give it to him and I'm not sorry! Not only is he a drug dealer but he beats up on women too! I stopped him!

Alex - Oh you stopped him alright. You beat the crap out him.

Eve - Morgan!

Morgan - Were you not listening? HE BEATS WOMEN! He deserves to die!!

Eve - He's not a demon Morgan. For those who break the law we just stop them from doing any more harm and then call the police.

Morgan - Yeah Yeah I get it.

Morgan begins to walk away and Eve stops her and takes her by the arms

Eve - (in a low voice) No I don't think you do. Beating that man for beating a woman makes you no better than him.

Morgan - I am no man!

Eve - Nothing changes when you fight violence with violence. When you continue the cycle of violence you become what you hate. And what's worse is that you lose sight of that when doing it under the guise of justice

Morgan - I see nothing wrong with an eye for an eye. That's Amazon justice!

Eve - Varia thought as you did. It brought her pain. Pain is what awaits you if you continue with that line of thought.

Morgan - I didn't come here for lectures.

Eve - Why are you here?

Morgan - I'm here for you!

Eve - And what do you want from me?

Morgan - TO UNDERSTAND!!

Morgan rips her arm away from Eve and walks off pushing everyone out of the way

James - (as he walks past Eve) Someone has an attitude.

Eve and Alex linger behind for a moment. Alex is just standing there looking at Eve with an "I told you so" look on her face.

Eve - (rolls her eyes) Don't start.

Alex - I'm the one who stopped things before it got really bad. She's got a problem

Eve - She hurting over something. There is a reason behind this.

Alex - I know you want to believe in the best in everyone Eve but this time it almost got someone killed. Who knows about the next time.

Eve - (offended) I don't like what you're insinuating!

Alex - I just know there's a problem when I'm the rational one.

Eve - Morgan is a good person. I am not going to turn her away because one bad thing happened. I didn't with you, I didn't with Craig and I'm not going to with her

Alex - Maybe but you're going to still have to make a choice on whether to find out what's really going on with her or wait until she actually does beat some guy to death.

Alex walks off leaving Eve in the middle of the street looking at the beat up man being but into the ambulance.

Fade to the next afternoon in the centre. Morgan just finishes ringing in someone at the register. Morgan smiles as the customer who gives a strained smile and walks out. Alex walks over.

Alex - (sarcastic) Nice work and to think it only took you fifteen minutes to ring in one person. Look, maybe being on cash or behind the counter is not for you. You seem to be in good physical shape (prods Morgan in her arm) Yeah, maybe you could do some physical training. We have few part timers who come in and out but it would be nice to have a permanent trainer on full time.

Morgan - Really?

Alex - Yeah, I could have some use for you.

Morgan - Thanks

Alex - Just try not to beat the crap out of anyone.

Alex walks away as Eve comes in from the backroom.

Morgan - I just don't get her

Eve - Yeah people can be hard to get

Morgan - Oh you're not mad at me too are you?

Eve - (sighs) Morgan I don't want to push anything but we really need to talk about what happened last night. . .

Morgan - Forget it

Eve - (frustrated) You're worse then Alex

Morgan - I've had bad experiences okay. There has never been a man that I can trust. When I was with the Amazons, they taught me to stand up for myself, to never let any man hold me down. When I get hit, I hit back twice as hard. When I get threatened I attack and I don't stop until my enemy is defeated.

Eve - If that were a strategy for dealing with demons . . .

Morgan - That's a strategy for dealing with men!

Eve - Did someone hurt you . . . (sees Morgan shrink away and changes her tactic) Not all men are bad. Craig, Jeff and James are good men! There are others like them. You have to look beyond the surface or this gender bias is going to hurt you in the end. If we are going to work together we have to trust one another.

Morgan - I trust you. I can't ever trust a man.

Eve opens her mouth to reply when she hears a couple of loud shouts from outside. Craig James and Jeff come in. There all in sweat pants and tee shirts carrying their duffel bags in.

Craig - (shouts over) Hey girls!

Eve smiles and gives a little wave while Morgan just rolls her eyes. Craig James and Jeff head down to the main area where the floor matt it laid out. They talk a little and we hear mumbling about doing some sparring Craig and Jeff both head out to the matt. Morgan scoffs, rolls her eyes and leaves. Eve watches Morgan storm down to the gym area to check out some equipment.

As Morgan heads down to the main level she walks past a guy who makes a move to smack her behind. Before he does she whirls around and grabs his hand squeezing it hard.

Morgan - Touch me and that hand will never touch anything EVER again

The guy nods his head quickly as he grimaces in pain. Morgan let's go off his hand with a scowl on her face and walks off. Pan over to Jeff and Craig. Jeff gives Craig a pat on the arm signalling he's finished. Craig nods and James walks over to spar. Jeff moves past them over to Morgan.

Jeff - Hey, you okay?

Morgan - (turns to face him with a bored look on her face) What's it to you?

Jeff - Hey! What is you're problem?

Morgan - My problem is guys like you.

Morgan turns around as Jeff gets offended and grabs her arm to turn her around again to face him.

Morgan - GET AWAY FROM ME!! DON'T TOUCH ME!

Morgan pushes Jeff against the far wall. Everyone in the gym stops to look at the commotion. She moves to strangle him. Craig is there in an instant and grabs her to stop her. Eve comes in between Morgan and Jeff. She checks to see if Jeff is okay who just nods. She looks back to Morgan

Eve - Morgan what is this?

Morgan break away from Craig's grip and glares at everyone before walking away to the backroom

Cut to Eve's apartment. Morgan is packing away her things when Eve comes in

Eve - What are you doing?

Morgan - Leaving. I'm clearly not wanted

Eve - I never said that. I just want to know why you were about ready to strangle Jeff. What did he do?

Morgan - (looks at Eve with tears in her eyes threatening to fall) He . . . He . . .touch . . .touched

Eve - He touched you. Yes I know, but I'm not sure I understand . . .

Morgan - (shakes her head and grabbed her bag) No you can't ever understand. No one does or ever will.

As Morgan begins to leave Eve holds her back and looks in to her eyes

Eve - (gently) Morgan, who hurt you?

Morgan - LEAVE ME ALONE!

Morgan pushes Eve away and walks out of the apartment.

Cut to outside the centre. Morgan walks out with her duffel bags on her shoulder. As she walks away we see Jeff waiting outside leaning against the centre wall. He calls out

Jeff - What's his name

Morgan - (turns around) What?

Jeff - The guy who hurt you. What's his name?

Morgan - You don't know what you're talking about

Jeff - I'm a cop Morgan. I've seen this before. You've buried it under your Amazon pride but the hurt is the same. I'm sorry I brought those bad memories up for you back there but . . .

Morgan - You know what? I've heard the words "I'm sorry" so many times that they mean absolutely nothing.

Jeff - I know I haven't done anything to earn your trust but I'm asking you to trust me now. I can help you with this

Morgan - It was a long time ago and its none of you're business

Morgan turns back around only to be punched in the face. As she falls down the man who was at the airport earlier is revealed

Man - No but it's mine. You've always been my business.

Morgan looks up and begins to crawl away frantically. Jeff runs over to help her up.

Morgan - (scared and upset now with a cut and bruise around her eye) Nick?!

Nick - (advances as Morgan and Jeff back away) Hello Morgan. Took me awhile to find you but here you are. The little address card you left behind back home was a great help. Did you miss me baby?

Jeff - Who is this?

Nick - Oh she didn't tell you? Yeah I guess whores like her don't like to talk about the other men they leave hanging

Jeff - Don't talk to her like that!

Morgan looks to Jeff surprised

Nick - (pulls out a gun) If I can't have you no one will.

Just as Nick fires the gun Jeff jumps in front of Morgan to take the bullet. They both fall to the ground. Jeff lies motionless on the ground.

Morgan - (leans over Jeff) Oh no! Jeff? JEFF!!

Nick hits Morgan on the back of the head with the butt of the gun knocking her unconscious.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to outside the centre. Eve, Alex, Craig and James run out of the centre followed by a few other people after hearing the shot. They all see Jeff lying on the ground blood oozing out from the bullet wound in his shoulder. Alex turns around and ushers all the other people inside the building. Eve runs over to Jeff.

Eve - JEFF!

Jeff rolls over groaning and wincing in pain.

Eve - What happened?

Jeff - Morgan.

Craig - Morgan did this?

Jeff - No, she's in trouble. Some . . . some man with a gun. He had it in for her. He was going to shoot her! Damn it! The one time I left my piece at home!

Eve - Where did this guy take her?

Jeff - I . . . I don't know.

James looks to the street. He sees skid marks on the road. He walks over slowly and bends down by the skid marks. Eve sees this

Eve - James?

James touches the skid marks. He has a vision

*flash*

James sees Morgan being hit on the back of the head with the butt of the gun being knocked unconscious. She is then picked up by a blond man and he puts her on his lap on a motorcycle as he skids off.

*flash*

He then sees Morgan tied to a chair half waking, half unconscious in the middle of a bare room. The man who took her continuously circles around her looking at her with pure hate

Pan up to a sign that says "dock storage"

*end flash*

James jerks back up and looks at Eve and the rest.

James - He's taken her to a warehouse at the marina.

Eve - Nice work. (turns around) Alex will you take Jeff to the hospital?

Alex nods and picks up Jeff off the ground and limps over to a car

Eve - James I'm going to need you to show us where the warehouse is. Craig, you're going to get Morgan out while I distract this guy. Maybe I can help him.

Cut to the warehouse. Morgan is tied to a chair and gagged. Her head rolls around once then wakes up groggily. She looks at her surroundings and then becomes very scared just as Nick comes into her line of vision

Nick - Have a nice nap? (looks at her and sneers) You bitch! (back hands her) You think you can just leave without a word! (backhands her again)I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING! I TOOK CARE OF YOU!!

Morgan turns her head slowly to face Nick again with an angry glare. She jumps up still tied to the chair and smashes the legs of the chair breaking them off so her own legs are free from the binds. With her waist still tied to the chair she swings around knocking Nick down with the chair. She falls on top of him breaking the chair completely. She is free from the chair but her hands are still tied. She untangles her self. Nick gets up but she then jumps up and kicks him in the head falling on her back. Morgan swings her legs around to stand her self back up. She then breaks the ropes binding her hands and takes off her gag. Nick looks at her surprised. He straightens up and takes a deep breath.

Nick - I didn't know you could do that

Morgan - You don't know me at all. Why can't you just leave me alone?

Nick - I took you away from your crap life. I made you into something. I took care of you! You could never do anything right and I still kept you around!!

Morgan - Because you had to control me! Beating me down to made you feel powerful!! BUT YOU'RE A COWARD! You would never take responsibility for yourself, your failures, your losses. You blamed it on me! It was easy because I never fought back. I was too afraid!! But not anymore!

Nick lets out a roar of anger and tries to punch her again. She ducks and jabs him in the Adam's apple. Nick falls down gagging a bit. As Morgan approaches him slowly he suddenly grabs some dirt and throws in her face. She stumbles back blind for a second. When she looks back Nick hits her with a wooden rod in the face. She falls down from the ground and tries to crawl away

Morgan - Stay away from me!!

Nick - I'm finishing this! You whore!!

Suddenly the ware house doors are busted open and in walk Eve with Craig and James behind her.

Eve - Get away from her!!

Nick - Who the hell are you?

Eve- People who care about her

Nick - This isn't your business. She's mine!

Eve - No one belongs to anyone.

Nick - SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE WITH ME!!

Nick runs toward Eve screaming and swinging his arms wildly at Eve. She is able to block, duck and swerve the hits and punches directed at her. She flips backward and kicks Nick square in the chest sending him stumbling back. Craig uses this distraction to run over and pick up Morgan. He picks her up in arms and runs over to the entrance where James is.

Cut back to Nick and Eve

Eve - Stop this!! I don't want to hurt you.

Nick - THEN MIND YOUR OWN GODDAMN BUSINESS!!

Nick tackles Eve down. He then straddles her and begins to punch her. Eve is blocking the assault with her arms. Craig sees this and hands Morgan over to James. He runs over and grabs Nick by the hair and pulling him off Eve.

Craig - Guys like you give us a bad name!

Craig throws Nick headfirst into a wall.

Cut back to James and Morgan

Morgan - Put me down I'm okay I'm just a little dizzy.

James sets Morgan down on the ground. Morgan sees Craig walking over to help Eve up. She looks back over to Nick who is getting up near the wall. He grabs a two by four and is about to make his way over to Eve and Craig. Morgan runs over and kicks the two by four out of Nick's hands. Morgan then backhands him in the face. She sends an uppercut to his jaw then grabs him by the shirt and head butts him. Nick stumbles back. Morgan kicks him in the chest then in the throat slamming him against the wall. Morgan then picks up a shard of glass and holds Nick by the throat against the wall.

Eve - Morgan NO!

Morgan - (to Nick) Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you.

Morgan looks at Nick waiting for an answer. Nick can't. He is absolutely terrified with fear. Morgan sees the absolute fear in his eyes. She remembers her own fear.

Morgan - I'll give a reason.(Morgan drops the shard and punches him to the ground) If I kill you then I'd be like you.

Morgan turns away and walks out of the warehouse.

Fade to the centre. It's late night so no one is there except the gang. They are all sitting around the table while Eve and Morgan are at the head. Morgan doesn't know what to say. She fidgets.

Morgan - I knew this girl. Smart enough but she didn't really come from anything. Dad left when she was ten and her mom was . . . well not that great. She was just there, existing until him. The most popular boy liked her. He promised her the world and when he smiled at her it was like... life just couldn't get any more beautiful than that. And it didn't. She was seventeen when she moved in with him, eighteen when he first started hitting her, nineteen when he knocked out her upper bicuspid. She was twenty-one when she decided to leave. He put her in the hospital. A week later, when she got out she started packing. He was drunk. He pointed his finger at her. He said, "You try that again, I'll kill you." She waited until he left to go to the bar and she emptied the account bought a plane ticket and never looked back. . . I never looked back. I left that girl behind. So I could get on with my life. (looks to Eve) I thought being here that my life would finally be on track. Protecting you was supposed to be my destiny.

Eve - Life is what you make it Morgan. It was never up to me. It was always up to you.

Morgan - I went to Canada to see my Mom and my sisters and then I was off again. I didn't think he would track me down and come after me, even after all these years.

Jeff - You represented a loss of control. Dealing with you a way to regain control. Men like that, they don't let go.

Morgan - I tried. I thought I could leave that part of my past buried forever.

Eve - Morgan, I know better then anyone that if you don't face your past it will find a way of catching up with you.

Craig - We all have skeletons in our closet. We don't judge you Morgan

Morgan - I'm sorry I got you all involved. Jeff you took a bullet for me, you saved my life. Thank you

Jeff - You're welcome

Morgan - (turns to Eve) And thank you for coming for me even after I pushed you away. Why did you help me?

Eve - Because you're our friend. I knew you were hurting and I wanted to help you. I'm sorry it had to come to blows in order for you to deal with your pain. I'm also sorry I couldn't help Nick. I think he was in pain too. But he should have never put that on you. It was never on you to bare it.

James - Well he's all patched up now. If he doesn't face jail time here, he will be extradited back to Canada.

Morgan - I never had anyone care about me in this way before. I'm . . . I'm speechless.

Alex - Oh don't worry about it. You're doing a double shift of demon hunting tomorrow.

Everyone laughs

Morgan - (smiles) Thanks

Alex - I'm really sorry about coming down on you so hard.

Morgan - You had every right to. You were right. I was out of control.

Eve - You had the chance to kill him today but you didn't. You made a big step today toward forgiving yourself and finally rebuilding your life. You can let go now and be free. You have a chance to do something really worthwhile and we'd love to have you here.

Morgan - I'd like that. I was told my destiny was to help you but it turns out you helped me. I'll earn your trust and make you proud.

James - Hey if you take on my shift of demon hunting tomorrow you'll be my favourite person

Jeff - I second that!

Morgan - (smiles). I am sorry for the trouble I caused. I'll understand Alex if you don't want to hire me.

Alex - Morgan it's okay. We've all had some hard times. None of us are perfect and we've all made mistakes. And when I say "we" I mean "mostly me." But I've learned to forgive and welcome those who need something to believe in again. We could you use you here. Just promise me on thing

Morgan - What?

Alex - You'll work on your people skills
