SEA SNAKES
The sea snake is an aquatic snake found in Uen oceans. A long serpent, they prowl the seas in groups of 3 or 4 preying on fish and other small marine life. Having their land cousin's long serpentine bodies, Sea snakes also have two broad flat fins which further aid them in moving with the ocean's currents. A dark blue, they blend easily in with the sea's waves. Having a mouthful of needle sharp teeth, the sea snake darts in, and rips a chunk out of it's prey, then darts out of reach. Working together the groups surrounds their prey and literally eats it alive.
Male and Female Sea snakes live for approximately 10 years and do not stop growing the entire time they live. Tell they literally reach a size of 8 ft in length. There are stories and rumors of some Monster Sea snakes reach a terrifying size of 15 to 20 ft. Male Sea snakes have two tendrils trailing from their chins.
Females come into season in late spring, and a two months later, they
give birth to three to five young. The Infant Sea snakes remain with their
mother and her group for a year before they strike off on their own, forming
their own groups. Sailors who catch a sea snake in their nets will immediately
cut off the snake's head, and throw the bodies back into the water in an
attempt to irradiate this species.
