(Wildborn name is the sound of rumbling thunder)

Bonded: none
Sire: Rainbow
Dam: Fargaze
Siblings: Shadowstalker and Phanthom

Progeny: Velocity and Fable

Birth date: 22 S, 80 ADT
Location: wildborn, leader of the Thunder herd

Talent: the ability to make the sky rumble and crash with thunder. From what seems to be far off to a nightmarish sounding strom right over head.

The leader of the Thunder herd, Thunderstrike is Rainbow and Farsight's last born foal. Born 2 years after his big sister Phanthom, the two siblings were extremely close. He never quite forgave his father for expelling her and since he was always quite independently-minded anyway, he soon parted ways with the Rainbow Herd to find his own way in the mountain, hoping perhaps in time to form his own herd. He took with him his already-mate, Merryweather, daughter of Bolt.

Much easier going than his elder brother, Thunderstrike is a less domineering leader than Shadowstrike and beloved by his entire (albeit small) mountain herd. He is approachable, but expects respect and is decisive during a fight. In herd matters he is quite democratic and encourages the entire herd to speak their opinion before making important decisions.

Thunderstrike has no strong opinions about humans, though he knows enough to keep away from them under most circumstances.

His son, Fable, left the herd on good terms to join Firestorm's more proactive Renegade Herd, one of the only herds to maintain real social ties with the Academy. Thunderstrike is unwilling to leave his own herd, and still somewhat afraid of humans, but hopes that Fable will return soon and bring him word of his beloved sister.
