Sasha is a young woman of average height, with sandy-blonde hair that's generally drawn back into a long braid, and clear green eyes. Her nose, cheeks, and arms are sprinkled with light brown freckles, and her skin is tanned--evidence of a life spent mostly out-of-doors. Her limbs have always been well-rounded and firm, due to her lifelong love of work, but her growth into womanhood over her years at the Academy have extended this feature to the rest of her body as well. One would hardly know it, though, as she dresses plainly, in standard Academy-issue garb, and seems to go out of her way to avoid fancy or showy
clothing.

Sasha grew up in a farming community--actually a loose collection of autonomous farms known as Cin Vaale, and located about a half-day's ride south of Pallahade. Being just one member of a sprawling family (which included aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents as well as a multitude of brothers and sisters), Sasha didn't receive much individual attention, nor did she expect it. She preferred to work rather than socialize, and when the farm work was over with, she would go with her mother (the local herbalist and healer) on her rounds, in the process picking up a rudimentary knowledge of healing procedures and local flora (knowledge which she hopes to build upon at the Academy). Her parents, recognizing a potential in Sasha that, in order to blossom, would require a life larger than the one provided for on their little farm, began looking for a way to get Sasha off of the farm. For her part, Sasha was happy with her life, and didn't expect that it would ever change.

But, somehow, change found its way into Sasha's life, and turned her simple existence completely on its head. One fair day, in the autumn after her 14th birthday, a Uen Roug recruiter happened by their farm house, with the announcement that the Academy was accepting new students. For Sasha's parents, it was the perfect opportunity--and what better place for their daughter? For Sasha, it was a dream come true--one which she'd never even known she had. Two days later, she was at the Academy, scared and shy, but ready to brave anything for the chance to experience what she'd seen between the Uen Roug and his Bondmate.

During her Academy years, Sasha managed to overcome much of her initial shyness, although it still lingers, especially when she's made the center of attention. In important matters, she's often slow to speak up, preferring to let others do the leading; when she does speak up, she's generally straightforward and blunt about it, a characteristic that hasn't suited her well in her Diplomacy classes. Her personality is mild, but typically cheerful (especially when she's hard at work); she's a gentle, kind individual. Yet, should she see a friend or loved one harmed, her typical mellowness dissolves into anger.

One autumn afternoon, in her 5th year at the Academy, Sasha's life took yet another unexpected turn, when she found herself suddenly Bonded to Dodger. But despite the abruptness of their Bond, the first to occur in Sasha's class, the two quickly became deeply attached to one another.
