Rainglow
Young, playful and even quite childish in nature, Rainglow's eager, generous and optimistic nature makes her a good friend. On the negative side though, she can often be annoyingly thoughtless and self-centred. Her lack of efforts toward her educational responsibilities means that she is also somewhat ignorant and unknowledeable of the world wider than the Academy and she needs to consider what the future will hold for her if she wants one day to Bond and become a productive member of her herd. She is fond of sparring matches and quite brave in her willingness to take on most challengers, since loosing isn't too serious a matter to her just yet. Her fighting abilities also lack the application she would need to become proficient.
Her natural magical talent however is something that she has developed.
It started as a fun ability that impressed and interested her fellow young
'corns and her natural artistic bent has refined it further. Her talent
is the ability to write or draw images in water, which remain as long as
she concentrates on them. In pools of still water, she creates what
might reasonably be called masterpieces of art - though the tragedy of
them is that they melt away as soon as she leaves. Moving water is
much harder for her to work with and she still has some way to go before
she can use her talent effectively in that way. The Elders are interested
in knowing what the limits of this talent are and wonder if it can be used
in airborne water, such as rainfall. Perhaps they see a potential
in Rainglow that she has not yet seen herself...
