PRISM
Unable to hold a grudge, playful and constantly happy Prism is often, and irritatingly, too cheerful in some situations, unable to understand why other unicorns get so cursedly mopey about certain things! It isn't that she never feels any pain. Oftentimes it appears that the filly shrugs her sorrows like a snake shrugs off its skins, but in truth she is often harder hit by tragedy than others - she just does not believe that pouting or worrying does anyone any good. Like a trooper, Prism hides her sorrows well, trying to cheer others and mourning on her own, though she sometimes she secretly wishes that she had someone to share her true feelings with. Her 'serious side' is generally tucked away in preference for light hearted, child-like capering until an emergency occurs. Then most may be surprised at how suddenly she becomes a sober, clear thinking creature who keeps her head despite the worst of the situation.
Usually snow white in color, Prism's gift is the ability to make her body become completely transparent and faceted like a diamond, and like a true prism, she can make rainbows in the light like a window crystal when she invokes her talent. The real usefulness in her gift, however, lies in its abilities regarding defense: when she angles her body just so, she can reflect light and temporarily blind attackers, giving her or someone else the opportunity to attack them instead! Prism is an average fighter preferring to dance around her partner, exhausting them before they get a chance to near her, probably a most effective technique considering her size. However, Prism has yet to be in a situation where she has been pressed into a true fight and generally treats mock fights as a game. Her general temperament suggests that she may not be as comfortable slaying living beings.
