Leapfrog

(Potrait and concept by Regina Carey)

*Deceased*

His wildborn name an image of a frog in midleap, humans had named this wild stallion Leapfrog. Born
into the North Khalakopf herd to two of the warrior unicorns, Leapfrog was trained from the time he was a yearling to be able to fight and defend the herd too. A lot he always seemed to be content with. Then when he was a five year old bachelor stallion, still with his herd, he and some friends stumbled across a  young 4 year old mare with the rainbow in her mane.

Leapfrog was in love the second he laid eyes on the lovely appaloosa and convinced Mirror to come with him to his herd stallion to seek membership in the herd. It took him 2 years of frustration and hard work, but eventually Leapfrog won Mirror over. And after all that work, Leapfrog and Mirror were soon mates. And it was when he was 8 when he and Mirror first learned they were going to have their own foal. Like many mares, Mirror wanted her foal to be born away from the herd. Allowing only Leapfrog to go with her. But, while she was birthing their first foal, two wild cats came upon them and attacked. Fighting for his mate and foal, Leapfrog was able to kill the two cats, keeping them away from Mirror. But was fatally injured himself, passing away even as his little filly started trying to rise to her hooves.

Born with incredibly strong leg muscles, Leapfrog's power was the ability to jump to incredible heights,
or leap across incredible leages.  He was an extremely skilled and powerful fighter.

STATS: 16.5h, Male, green and white Pinto with a darker green and white mane and tail and four black legs, died at the age of 9 years, wildborn, North Khalakopf herd, first listed 8/7/01.
