Little Devils

Little Devils
Other Names: (Dark Sleeper, Man's Folly)

Found in the plains around Aedelfer, and Chihalla, always near small clusters of trees, this little flower is easily found. And just as easily unwanted. A plant most people are seeking a means to destroy.

This perennial is very beautiful. Growing only about 2' to 3' feet in height, they grown in clumps spreading out over 4 to 5 feet. Though usually, where there is one clump growing, there is rarely another one within the next four to five miles. The plant's flower is a white, edged in pink with delicate pink spots flecking it's petals. With an extremely pleasing scent sure to attrack people and animals. But there in lies it's danger

The plant is deadly becase as soon as it's disturbed, the flower begins to release tiny pink spores into the air. The spores do not take immediate effect, so the creature that distrubs it is usually well near the center of flowers before they begin to feel sleepy. Anyone not able to escape the flower's bed falls asleep with more spores still being released around them as they fall. If to many spores are breathed in, the creature caught amoung them will fall so deeply alseep they litteraly forget to breathe and die. The plants are then feed off the decaying carcass

Easily adapted to pots, if carefully handled, the spores can be removed from the flower to be used as sleeping dust. Used so healers can use these spores to force a paitient into a deep sleep before they set to work stiching up a paitient or operating on them. Or theives can use the powder to insure their victims stay alseep while they rob the house.

The plant itself is not very tasty and anything eating from it can expect a very upset stomach. Not being so wide spread, Little Devils are attainable but a bit more expensive than more common plants.
