LEEANN KINNEY

Leeann Kinney is Silver's bondmate. They bonded in 105 when Silver was 8 and she was 20. Lee has short, reddish-brown hair and bright hazel eyes. She's about 5'8", average build, and has a pretty face. She's friendly and outgoing, uninterested in scholarly pursuits but above-average athletically. A quick wit, Lee knows how smart her bonded is, even if others refuse to see it. She tends to act before she thinks, and it drives her bondmate crazy. Over the past six years of their bond, Lee has become less rash and Silver is learning to "just do it." She is Silver's closest confidante, and Silver is fanatically loyal to her bondmate, and will drop everything for her. Fortunately, Lee has learned that and doesn't take advantage of it -- much. Lee has an older sister and a younger brother in Aedalfar.

Her favorite hobby is playing field puck, but when there's no one available to play with or she simply wants to relax, she'll spend hours knitting. Silver has a wealth of strange hoof-mittens and horn-covers and small blankets that her bondmate has made. Lee sometimes gets impatient with her slow bondmate, but she is as loyal and loving to Silver as the unicorn is to the young woman. Adores children, and the pair love doing "Roug PR" with kids, a task they are well-suited for and often called upon to do. Tends to be even more vain about Silver's stunning mane and tail than Silver is! :)

SILVER

Silver is an elegant, slender mare with a strong, lovely build. Her mane and tail are extraordinarily long and she takes great pride in both. Indeed, Silver can be quite vain about her mane and tail and avoids getting them dirty at all costs. She has a strong maternal streak and always steps in to help the fillies and colts, both human and unicorn. Whether at the Academy or in town, often are the times she has a child clutching her tail or a young girl braiding her mane or a young foal at her side. She knows Onyx through the "pony rides" that he gives to students, as well as story times and other youngster-based activities. Though not overly cheerful and optimistic like many younger 'corns, Silver is always content, never suffering through hasty moodswings.  But then, she's never hasty about anything. She is thoughtful, even in bad situations, and slow to react. Her thoughtfulness, while a strength at times, is also one of her greatest weaknesses. It can take Silver a long time to make up her mind, a long time before she'll even declare herself for anything. Many consider her quiet and mentally slow because of this, but she's just hearing all sides and waiting to decide. She has missed many chances in her life because of this, and she is a poor fighter unless she's had time to plan before hand. Fast-moving situations often leave her behind, and even as a filly she never got involved in the witty bantering of many of her yeargroup. However, once Silver makes up her mind about something she's more stubborn than Stormcloud and Skyfire put together.

Silver is not the smartest unicorn, but she is smarter than most give her credit for. It irritates her when others leap to conclusions, and one of the rare ways to get her temper up is to assume blindly and dash ahead, putting others in danger. She is not aggressively outgoing, but she doesn't hide during parties and always feels comfortable approaching the human students. And they all feel comfortable approaching her. She's a good listener, and always willing to help, and her persistence makes her extremely nosy if one of her adopted "children" is feeling down. Silver is devoted to the Light, her bondmate, youngsters, and her Roug duty. She is not overly athletic, nor very scholarly, is a poor fighter, and methodical in her thought and action. Though generally modest, she is painfully vain about her mane and tail. She is serene most of the time, difficult to anger, a good listener, deeply loving, and very loyal.

She has had an attraction to Onyx for awhile now and is only just starting to show it.

Silver is (surprise!) silver, dappled green, green horn and hooves, with a beautiful long dark green tail and mane with silver highlights; Academy-born 48 S 97 ADT; 15 hands; 14 years old in A 111 ADT.

Notes:

In 111 ADT, Lee and Silver are instructors at the Academy.  They are teaching the young Academy-born students and foals in a combined grade classroom.  They took over in early 109 from the previous teacher who retired, volunteering eagerly for the assignment.  They are quite frequently called upon to give tours of the Academy to visiting families, and the pair are a well-known sight around the Academy grounds.  Lee has been known to drop into the occasional field puck game or at least cheer from the sidelines.
