Cowan Ghage and Seeker are privates of the Derell Class of 96 ADT.  Born in 78 ADT in Pallahade, Cowan had a difficult childhood.  His parents, both badly overweight, had passed their genes and their neurotic eating to their little boy.  He was taunted growing up and found little solace at home where his parents were often depressed.  He started working when he was nine to bring in more money for the family, and the independence gave him confidence and an outlet for his own depression.  He worked long and hard and stopped eating as much and when he entered his teens he was actually quite fit, if still big.  Desperate to get away from his parents, Cowan joined the Academy during a recruitment cycle in 91 ADT and shot through
classes.  He excelled in sword fighting and hand-to-hand wrestling, using his weight to best advantage. Still, he struggled in classes, lacking a basic education and a desire to learn, and found himself slipping into depression again.

In 96 ADT, Cowan bonded to Seeker.  The bonding seemed to turn something around in the young man, and he is now able to keep his depression at bay.  The gentle unicorn buoys him up when he's down and shores up his low self-esteem when he needs it.  Cowan and Seeker were approached to do c-ops work in 97 ADT when they proved to be a resilient, independent pair on circuit duty.  They were trained as bodyguards and fighters, and Cowan is an expert archer and good with an axe.  He is slightly lecherous towards women and has never really had a successful relationship with one.  He tends to be falsely over-confident and proud, but is a courageous, stalwart soldier.  He has an aversion to Wyn.  He is short at 5'6", but built big, appears overweight though he is in good shape.  Has sharp blue eyes, sandy brown hair, and an untidy brown mustache.  Cowan has a soft spot for Seeker and is always kind to his bonded.

Seeker was born at the Academy in SR 88 ADT.  Humble and kind, Seeker gets along with the older unicorns but has never felt comfortable with younger ones.  He tends to be self-effacing, but tries always to do his best.  He is a valiant fighter, using his bulk to make his attacks more powerful.  Heavy-set, Seeker has always felt self-conscious around the mares.  Adores his bondmate, Cowan, and is protective of him.

Seeker's talent is the ability to locate any person described to him.

Seeker is 15.1 h, heavy-set and solid looking.  Red and white overo pinto.  Born at the Academy, is 22 when called to the Zadiago mission in 110 ADT.
