Carrel and her Bonded, Lightfeather, recruited Dayle Van Galen in Pallahade. The 'corn said the girl made her horn itch. Carrel has long since earned her promotion and though she doesn't see Dayle so often these days, not usually being at the Academy, she still regards her as her protege and will return to support the girl if need be. She was 32 at the time of Dayle's recruitment and had been Bonded for 10 years.
