Cobalt
As the oldest 'corn in the herd since Skyfire's Bonding, Cobalt often wonders if he'll be old and grey before his Y'cha. Of course, he's *already* grey...
When he was younger, Cobalt was the athletic hero of his crop, much like Starfall, Radiance, or Lure today. This is not to say he still doesn't carry great physical prowess, but with all of his yearmates gone and Bonded, most of the colts and fillies these days seem like youngsters to him. And who wants to play games with babies? He always feels like the "old man".
Outspoken and helpful around the Academy, Cobalt has a lot of charisma and is seen as an "big brother" figure to a lot of the younger 'corns. He has a special interest in fighting and was Tempest's crack student until she left. The new Armsmaster 'corn even has him teaching a few classes to keep him up to speed, and he practices his physical regiment religiously. A fit Roug is the best Roug!, is his motto. Of course, he's got to *become* a Roug first.
He is protective of the younger 'corns and often defends them whenever
the occasion calls for it. Wishful is his special "little sis" favorite.
He's not too fond of books and is of average intelligence, but what he
lacks in
brainpower he makes up for in heart and spirit.
Cobalt's talent is generating a magnetic force, like a powerful magnet, of either polarity. Handy for repelling enemies with swords...or armor of any type. An excellent and practiced strategical fighter.
