In fact, those people are me (Caitie), my best friend Bess, and her little sister Eve. Though none of us are stunningly gorgeous, we can dream, can't we? I don't know if Sailor Comet is going to post her fanfics on any web site but ours (which does not yet exist, but I'll let you know when it does!), but if she does, please take the time to read them. Most of them are hilarious, and all of them are great! And she swears her Jupiter Wall story is true! She claims that she really did see a green four (symbol of Jupiter) flash on her bathroom wall once! Read the story, it's excellent, but please, don't ask! Two girls in the Juban district of Tokyo sat up in bed at the exact same moment. "I'M GONNA BE LAAAAAATE!!!" **************************************************************************** The blonde turned on her black cat. "Why didn't you wake me up, Luna? This is my third time being late this week! Miss Haruna's gonna kill me!" she cried, throwing on her old school uniform and wraping her long blond hair into its usual meatballs; one on either side of her head, then down into twin ponytails. "I did," the cat replied calmly. "You threw a pillow at me and went back to sleep. As usual." "See if I ever ask you for help again" the girl muttered under her breath as she raced out the door on her everyday mad dash to school. *************************************************************************** The brunette turned on her tan kitten. "Why didn't you wake me up, Eos? My first day in a new school and I'm already late! Beth is gonna kill me!" she shrieked, throwing on her new school uniform and twisting her long chestnut hair into its usual braids; one on either side of her head, with the rest left hanging loose. "I did," the kitten replied calmly. "You threw a pillow at me and went back to sleep. As usual." "See if I ever ask you for help again" the girl muttered under her breath as she raced out the door on her usual mad dash to school. *************************************************************************** The two girls raced into the school yard and collided just as the bell rang. "OOOWW!" they cried simultaneously, rubbing their heads. They sat up slowly. The blonde was the first to speak. "Hi. Are you new here? I've never met you before." She frowned thoughtfully. "Though I could swear I've seen you somewhere before." The brunette paled visibly. If people recognized them; she, Beth and Eve would never get any privacy. They would be bomb-barded with fans constantly. "Are you OK?" The brown haired beauty snapped out of her reverie to see the blonde staring at her with a concerned look on her face. Quickly, the brunette pulled herself together. "I'm fine. Thanks." "I'm Serena. Nice to meet you." the blonde stuck out her hand. "Likewise. My name is Katy." she shook the offered hand warmly. "C'mon. We'd better get to class. We're late enough as it is. You have Miss Haruna?" Katy nodded. "Great! So do I!" chirped Serena, literally dragging Katy into the building. *************************************************************************** "Late again, Serena?" barked Miss Haruna as Serena entered the classroom with Katy in tow. "Detention after school. Same for your friend. Are you new, too?" At Katy's nod, she continued. "You may sit next to Beth. She's the..." "We know each other" interrupted Katy, taking her seat and smiling. "In that case, you may introduce yourselves together." Katy and Beth smiled and stood up. "I'm Katy McDonnal, and this is Beth Jordan. We've been best friends all our lives." began Katy. Beth finished, "We just transferred here from Greens Junior High, the private school on the other side of town." "Why did you transfer from a private school?" Serena wanted to know. "It must have been much better than a public school like this one." Katy's face hardened. "We were having problems with youma attacks in our school. Our parents transferred us here to keep us from getting hurt." Serena's eyes widened. Youma attacks? How come she hadn't heard about them? She needed to tell the Scouts ASAP. ************************************************************************** "Katy, did you see that girl's face when you mentioned the youma attacks? She seemed to know something about them. I think we need to keep an eye on her." Lunch found the best friends seated under a cherry blossom tree. They were discussing the morning's events. "C'mon, Beth, you have to be kidding me. That girl has to be as harmless as they get. She seemed really nice when I met her this morning." "Mabey so, but I think she knows more than she lets on." "I still disagree with you, but if you're really uncomfortable I could check her heart and see if she's peaceful. I know Eos told us not to use our powers outside of battle, but ..." "No, that's OK, Katy. I'm probably just being paranoid. Still, I thought I was getting some weird vibes from ..." "Quiet, she's coming over here." "Hey, Katy. How ya doin' girl? You're Beth, arn't ya?" "That's me" Beth grinned. "I was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch with me and the girls. Lita's an excellent cook." Katy's ears pricked at the mention of food. "Sounds good to me. Wadaya think, Beth?" "Fine with me. Just remember Katy, our boss won't appreciate it very much if you gain weight" she teased. Katy grimaced and stuck her tongue out at Beth. Serena giggled. "What do you have a boss for?" she asked as she led the girls to a small group. Katy and Beth glanced at each other nervously. They did NOT want to explain their job to Serena, because if one person knew, soon the whole school would know. Then they would be chased by fans everywhere they went, and that definitely would not help their studies and... other business. Before they could think of an answer, however, they arrived at the group and the introductions began. The shy blue haired girl with her nose buried in a book was Amy Anderson. Raye Hino was the exotic raven haired beauty. (AN: In my story, Raye and Mina go to Serena's school. So please don't tell me that they don't in the manga and anime. I know! It's just eaiser for me this way.) The tall brunette was Lita Kino, the one who Serena said was a good cook. Katy and Beth knew immediately that she was right; her food was delicious! And last but not least, there was beautiful, bubbly Mina Aino, Serena's 'twin'. "Hey girls!" Mina exclaimed cheerfully after everyone had been introduced. "Nice to meetcha!" "Glad you could join us!" "I am pleased to make your acquaintance." "One of the few things Meatball Head here can actually do well is make friends. That and snorfing down food at the speed of light." "RAYE!" "Oh yeah. Her wailing is pretty good too." "That's it, Pyro! You're gonna get it now!" screamed Serena in anger, as she took off after the terrified priestess. "So do you girls wanna come to the arcade with us after school today?" asked Mina. "Thanks, but I've got detention after school with Serena" replied Katy. "Oh, she meant after detention. Serena has detention every day so we wait for her to finish before we head to the arcade." explained Lita. Katy grinned. "Then I don't see why not!" *************************************************************************** (after school) As it turned out, Miss Haruna had a date that night so Serena and Katy didn't have detention after all. "Yippee!!" cried Serena happily. "No detention! Now let's get to the arcade!" Ten minuets later, six panting girls rounded a corner to see Serena still racing on ahead. "Doesn't...she...ever...slow...down?" panted Beth. Amy shook her head. Looking up, she saw something that made her stop. "Serena!" she cried. "Look...." CRASH!!! "....out." "Watch it, Meatball Head" Serena looked up, knowing very well who it was. "Shut up, Darien" "Whatever, Meatball Head. Who are these two new beauties?" Katy and Beth blushed. No matter how many people told them that, whether they knew who they were or not, it never failed to make them blush. "They're my friends. Lay off, Darien. Can't you bug someone else for a change?" "No" he answered simply and continued on his way past the girls. Silence reigned for a few minutes. Then: "Your boyfriend?" asked Katy. "ARE YOU KIDDING? THAT JERK, THAT CREEP, THAT BASTARD, THAT... THAT...." Katy raised a delicate eyebrow ever so slightly, meant for only Beth to see. Beth answered with the slightest shake of her head. "I think I'll leave him for her." Katy whispered. Only Beth heard. (AN: In my story, Jupiter and Venus came much earlier so they don't know that Serena is the princess and that Darien is Tuxedo Mask/Endymion yet) **************************************************************************** As they entered the arcade, Katy caught sight of a blond guy sitting behind the counter. "Oh, oh! Hunk alert, hunk alert! What a babe! Quick, gimme; name, info, QUICK!" she shrieked, turning to Lita. Beth rolled her eyes. "She has good taste." Mina whispered to Serena, who nodded in agreement. "Calm down, girl! His name is Andrew. Is she always like this?" Lita asked Beth. "No really, but..." "Give her a break, Lita. After all, you had the same reaction!" "Sorry, but he looks just like...." "Your old boyfriend. We KNOW!" "Well, Serena, it's not like you didn't fall for Andrew." "So did you, Mina!" "Yeah, well I -" "Guys!" Amy hissed. The group looked up to see Andrew standing by the table, sweatdrops quickly forming on his forehead. "Uh, hi girls. Who are the new additions?" "Hi, Andrew." Mina smiled flirtily. "This is Katy and Beth. They just transfered to our school." Andrew cowed under the look she was giving him. "So...uh... what can I get you girls?" *************************************************************************** "Damn!" screamed Serena, kicking the Sailor V arcade game as 'GAME OVER' appeared on the screen. "I can never get past this level! I swear this thing is rigged!" "May I try?" Katy asked softly. "Sure" Serena backed away from the controls and let Katy take her place. Everyone watched with wide eyes as Katy's score began to grow. They watched as her score reached the record and continued past. "She's even better than you" Lita whispered to Amy, who nodded. "She's good" said an unfamiliar voice behind them. The group turned to see that a crowd had gathered to watch Katy beat the record. Katy didn't even flinch until Sailor V gave her the 'V is for victory' sign and 'CONGRATULATIONS! YOU WIN!' floated across the screen. All this time, Serena hadn't said anything. Now, as she stared at the message on the screen, she muttered three small words: "I... stand... corrected." Suddenly Katy glanced down at her watch. "OH MY GOD, BETH! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR OUR INTERVIEW!!!" "Oh shit! C'mon, we still have to pick up Eve! Bye guys, we gotta run!" shrieked Beth, grabbing Katy's hand and dragging her out the door. "INTERVIEW? Why the HELL would someone our age be going to an *interview*?" cried Mina. "An interview for *what*?" demanded Raye. "How would I know?" retorted Lita. "I still think I've seen them somewhere before." Serena said quietly. No one heard her. ********************** Okay, who's figured out who Katy and Beth are? Other than two *normal* schoolgirls, who just *happen* to be good at the Sailor V game, and are totally gorgeous model material. Other than the author and her best friend. I'd better shut up now or I'll give it away! I know there was no senshi stuff in this chapter and there won't be any in the next chapter either. Sorry! However, chapters 4 and 5 and probably almost all beyond that will. So don't leave yet! Give me a chance! And I know, there is no romance in this story as of yet.
