Divergence: A Sailor Moon Chronicle Introduction Hello there everyone! My name is Palin, and this is the first fanfic I have ever posted. It is, in fact, the first Sailor Moon fanfiction I've ever written, though I have penned others in the years (yes, I said years, long story) I have been working on this one. A few notes about the story. First: the title comes from an element in the story itself. This story is a divergence from the expected time stream of the sailor moon universe, though it will all end up the same. Crystal Tokyo, and everyone's favorite pink spore will be born (insert as much sarcasm, or as little, as you want). The point I am making is that even though destiny has the senshi square in its talons, that does not mean they should not be free to pursue relationships of their own. Second: Yes, this is a Usagi/Rei fanfic. I would only give this a rating of PG, maybe PG13. I don't use any profanity, and don't write Hentai. So there's nothing really offensive in here. As for the relationship itself, I think the subtext is very real within the story itself. And since Mamoru is single, he'll find out of a certain Time- senshi's love for him ::evil grin::. Third: I normally don't believe in posting until a story is finished, but I have been writing this since ASMR was on simplenet, if not before. Its waited long enough, and I'd like to hear what people think. So feedback please!!!!!! I have 3 chapters mostly finished, and 2 more in the works, so if I stall out after that, just bear with me. This is gonna be a long one. Fourth and beyond: I'm not very familiar with the Japanese version of Sailor Moon, but I have chosen to use the Japanese names for the characters and attacks, as well as a few phrases. Why? Because I am transplanting an American character, (not me, I don't do self-insertion well) into Japan, and I want to stress the differences as much as possible. If I were to set it in the Dub universe, I could have said it was arbitrarily in North America, and would have ruined the whole concept. I began this story before I read Jendra's Universal series, and when I did, I was surprised to see some of the same concepts in both of our stories. There are some distinct differences, and I want to stress that I didn't steal the ideas from her. If you haven't read that story, it is archived all over the net, and I'd highly recommend it. (And if you're reading this, Jendra, I'd love to read more of the story if you're still planning on writing any more).
