      Darien looked from his angry people to the cowering girl on the floor 
at his feet. She hadn't gotten up from where she'd been thrown. He held up 
his hand, slowly the hall became quiet again. All of his knights and people 
looking to him for action. He turned to his friend Andrew,
"Andy take Katy, and the girl to the Solar." he said
Andrew looked at Darien and nodded, he looked at his wife to see her helping 
the girl up.
" Come Katy," he said without sparing a look at the girl and lead the way up 
the stairs to the solar.
Katy helped a sobbing Serena to her feet and followed her husband looking 
neither right nor left. Once in the solar she settled Serena on a chair and 
handed her a kerchief.
" Will you be okay? I need to talk to Andy about something." Katy said
Serena looked at the woman that had been so nice to her and nodded," of 
course..."
Katy smiled and patted the girls knee before getting slowly to her feet and 
walking to where her husband was standing next to the door.
" Come speak with me Andy..." she said wrapping her arm through his.
Andrew nodded at his wife and led her out into the hallway, shutting the 
door behind them he looked at Katy.
" She is the one that dumped the chamber pot of Dariens' head?" He asked
Katy could still hear Serena's muffled sobs and sighed, " She is. But on her 
behalf I have to say that my brother probaly deserved it. He was goading 
her. Youu saw him in the great hall."
Andrew Greskin ran a hand through his thick blonde hair and looked at his 
wife, " Aye I saw him and heard but even so she had no right to hit him. He 
is the lord of this keep."
Katy sighed, " That is true but..." suddenly an idea struck her, and she 
smiled at her husband. " Andy...."
Andrew swallowed he knew that look and tone of voice, " Katy no..."
he said not even knowing what he was dissagreeing to.
Katy moved closer to him pressing very rounded stomach to him and trapping 
him effectively against the wall, " But Andy you do not even know what I 
want..." she said fake pouting.
Andrew sighed and put his hands on his wifes' shoulders, he knew he wasn't 
going to win, " Okay what do you want Katy?"
Katy smiled, " Would it not be nice to have Serena come stay at Cresthurst 
with us?"
Andrew knew that this was what she had been getting at, " But Katy my love. 
We know nothing about this woman."
Katy leaned forward and snuggled against him, "It would just be for a little 
while." She looked up at him and pulled out her leverage, " I'm so alone now 
that I am nearing my time. Can't we just have her there for a fortnight?"
Andrew looked down at his wife and was about to agree when his little sister 
Neva came running down the hall, " Andy... Darien wishes to speak with you 
in the Atchchamber."
Andrew nodded to the teen then kissed Katy softly on her lips before walking 
off down the hall toward the stairs. Katy watched her husband go then sighed 
and walked back into the solar to see Serena staring out a beautiful stained 
glass window.
" My Grandfather had that window made for my Grandmother when Darien and I 
were four. I remember that the two of us would sneak down from our rooms 
when we were supposed to be taking a nap and watch the runesmen work on the 
window for hours."
     Serena jumped and turned around to face Katy, " It's very beautiful... 
she said again glancing at the window."
Katy smiled and sat down picking up some needle point she'd been working on 
earlier that day. Serena turned from the window to watched the graceful 
woman as she carefully embroderied a tunic. Then she sighs and sat down on a 
cushion at Katy's feet and watched.

In a Antchamber
***********
Darien was pacing back and fourth when Andrew entered the chamber the 
teenaged Neva at his side. Darien smiled at his brother and sister-in-law 
then slumped into a straight backed chair and watched them.
" I'm in real trouble, Nev, Andy." Darien said running a hand through his 
hair pulling it free of the queue is was held in.
Neva plopped down in a chair while Andy perched on the corner of a table and 
looked at Darien. " What did the men say?" He asked his friend.
Darien looked from Andy to Neva and back, " They think that I should order 
her burned at the stake in the morning as a witch."
Neva looked at her brother-in-law and raised a brow, " You are not going to 
let that woman burn are you Darien?"
Andrew gave his sister a look, " Of course he's not...Neva Darien is not 
that cruel."
Darien nodded agreement with Andrew and leaned over banging his head on the 
table infront of him then looked at his famly, " The question is what am I 
going to do with the girl? I have no idea who she is or how she got here."
Andrew looked at Darien, " You do not still think that she is a Wench do 
you?"
Darien shook his head and looked at Neva, smiling slightly then to Andrew, " 
I am not sure I ever did believe it. It's just after the chamber pot 
encounter...." Darien's words trailed off into a sigh.
Neva looked at her brother-in-law a plan forming in her head, " She is very 
beautiful."
Andrew nodded agreement.
Darien smiled slightly a dreamy look in his eyes as he remembered they way 
she looked in the strange clothes. " Yes she is."
Neva grinned, " I have an idea what to do with the girl until you know for 
sure who she is Darien."
Both Darien and Andrew looked at Neva, waiting for her to continue.
Neva smirked at them, " Hotaru and Mina are supposed to travel with 
Andy,Katy and I back to Cresthurst. Why not take the girl along with us? I'm 
sure that she would keep Katy company when Hotaru, Mina and I are not 
around. And do you really want her around if the wyrm and his men come to 
the castle again?"
Darien blinked, then looked at Andrew. " It's not a bad idea... And Katy has 
seemed to take a liking to the girl. Well if she is guarded we at 
Cresthurst. In case she is a spy for the wyrm."
Andrew shook his head a smile hovering around his mouth, " I am in 
agreement. And if the Wyrm decided to attack I am further from the boarder 
lines and the women will be more protected. I just wish that Lita and Hikaru 
would agree to going with us back to Cresthurst."
Darien smiled glad that problem of Serena was taken care of and chuckled, " 
The first and second comand of my knights hiding at Cresthurst? Lita and 
Hikaru might be female but they are better then some Knights I know."
Andrew and Neva nodded in agreement as Darien stood up, " Serena will have 
to be taken away in shackles... we don't want the people of this keep to 
think that we ignored their concerns."
Andrew and Neva exchanged a worried look, that darien watched. " Worry not 
they can be removed once you reach Cresthurst, I ment what I said about the 
guards though."
Andrew and Neva nodded slowly even though they didn't like the part about 
the girl being put in shackles.
Darien got up and smiled, " i suppose we should go tell Katy and Serena what 
is going to happen."
Neva nodded and lead the way followed by two silently men.

In the Solar
*************

Serena and Katy were talking quietly when there was a soft knock on the 
door.
" Enter...." Katy said smiling when her two younger sisters walked in.
Two girls about 16 and 15 walked into the room one tall with blonde hair and 
the other a little shorter with long purplish black hair.
The blonde hair eyes like Dariens that sparkled with life as she watched 
Katy and Serena. She was wearing a orange dress with gold trim that matched 
the one Katy had put Serena in for dinner.
     The other girl was wearing a black dress with blue trim simular to 
Serena's and had long black hair, purple eyes watched Serena with a calmness 
that you would expect from one much older.
Katy smiled and laid her needle work aside, " Serena I would like you to 
meet my two younger sisters, Hotaru and Mina."
Serena smiles and nods, " Hello."
Just then the door opens again and Andrew,Neva and Darien walk in.
Darien frowns at Serena then says, " You will travel with my brother-in-law 
back to his castle and stay there Wench." then he nods to his sisters and 
Andrew and walks out. Leaving the others staring in shock after him.
