But at last, the long awaited chapter 16 is finally here. Thank you. *runs off stage to avoid getting hit by sharp metal objects*. PS: Please excuse my writing skills at the moment. They're rusty and need some fine-tuning. Disclaimer: Give us a rest already! We don't own SM, just don't take our characters. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DK, Chapter 16 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I... I didn't know...!" stuttered Serena (Bunny), as she fell to the ground, sobbing. "I honestly didn't know..." Rei dropped to her knees and put a comforting hand on her princess's shoulder. "Sere... It's not your fault, you didn't know, did you?... He's just being an arrogant jerk." Serena shook Rei off angrily at that last comment. "NO! You don't understand, do you? None of you do... where's Ang when I need her..." She clambered to her feet and stumbled into the woods randomly, not having a clue where she was going. "... and after all he did for me..." Meanwhile, the others stood where she had left them, dumbfounded and trying to piece together what she had told them. So many questions left unanswered. When they finally regained their voices, these questions weren't left unasked for long. "Who was he?" "What was that about?" "Who's Ang?" "What don't we understand?" "How come Sere always gets kissed by the hunky guys?" This last one, as expected, came from Lita, and for a moment everyone became silent and turned to stare at her. She blushed a deep scarlet and scuffed her foot in the dirt. "Well he was..." she muttered softly. "ANYWAYS," Ami said, drawing attention back to the subject at hand, "I've entered data for the men just seen, and this should tell us who they were... bingo!" Ami exclaimed as she pushed one last key; then her jaw dropped in shock. "What the... Kami-sama..." "What? What? Let me see, let me see!" Mina pushed in front of Ami in attempt to see what was on the compact screen. Lita quickly dragged her away, but curious herself, she made a cautious peek over the top of the small computer. "Dear god!" she shrieked. "Lita, please refrain from screaming in my ear. Thank you." Ami sighed. "It appears that the taller man we just met was... Endymion Rosemon, Crown Prince of Earth!" Gasps of suprise echoed throughout the group. "Apparently, the other man was one of his four gaurdians; Nephrite, I believe. However, I find no data for an 'Ang'." "Nothing?" "Nothing." "So... now what?" This was the major question that occupied everyone's mind. Ami scrated the back of her head, Serena fashion. "I... really don't know." she said uncertainly. "I suppose we should start by finding Serena." "Roger that. I'll take Rei, Ara, and Mina and go search for her. You keep scanning for more info. Everyone else- set up camp. We ain't leaving 'till we find Sere and find out what's going on," Lita ordered. The group split and Lita's troup started into the woods in the direction Serena had taken. Following the makeshift path of broken brambles and trampled grass of a careless traveler, the going was easy for a solid half hour, until suddely the route can to a dead stop. All traces of life simply disapeared. "What the...?" Ara gasped in shock. "Where'd the meatball head go?" Rei leased her confusion out as anger, "She couldn't have just disapeared! Could she?" "I really don't know, Rei," Mina stated in awe, "But I don't have such a good feeling about this." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back at the camp, in a quite, uninterupted corner of the clearing, Ami was still typing frantically away at her mini-computer. It was quite a matter of minutes before she came to anything of any relevance. Once she did, however, it was one thing leading to the next, each piece of information fitting into the puzzle and the beginings of solving the mystery. Finally, Ami came upon something of utmost importance. A soft gasp escaped her lips. "Kami-sama! Oh lord, if this is accurate, than may the heavens above take pity on us!" This was all the night-crickets heard before the soft whiz of an object being shot rustled the air and a tranquilizer dart could be seen protruding from the Mercurian princess's neck. The girl dropped without a sound and was quickly hauled away, into the inky black darkness that only exists in the absolute dead of night. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once again, I appoligize for the wait. Boy, six months? My god, I am soooooooo sorry! Hopefully I will not fall victim of such a dreadful case of writer's block again anytime soon! Corta's turn to write now, so once again, I turn the stage over to the master!
