A/N: This is a story about the way Tom turned out beeing the one he is today. I think it is sorta...Well, anyway, when you'll read it, review. It's the only way for me to know if anyone actually reads my stuff. Oh, and still one more thing: don't flame me for my spelling/typos, I'm to lazy to do the thingy with the spelling checker, or whatever you call it. In plus, English isn't my first language, so there may be some other erors, but, well, no one's perfect...

And now...On with the story!!!

Please note: this is one of my first stories, which, needless to say, aren't always perfect. I'm keeping this one only because I'd want to read it few more times afterwards. You know, read, and chuckle with laughter. So, here you go, and don't flame it because it's sorta stupid. Be comprehensive. Bye!

TOM RIDDLE MEETS HIS DESTINY

Chapter one

"Why did she do this to me? I won't believe it's only because I'm in Slytherin?"

He couldn't take it anymore. He kept thinking on and on obout what just happened.

<flashback>

'Minerva, what do you think of a romantic evening spent together?' the seventh year asked. He alredy prepared everything they needed for dinner.

' Tom, I need to talk to you.'she looked slightly nervous, and had a strange expression of determination in her eyes. Tom felt that whatever she wanted to talk about, it was no good for him.

'What's the matter, Minerva? You're... very pale.'

'I know that it's going to be a shock for you, Tom, as it is for me. The thing is... Oh, I'm so sorry, I really love you, but we just can't see each other any more!'

He looked deeply in those shining eyes, and found the same look of determination. And still one thing : pain. He understood that she meant it.

'But... what happened? Did the teachers find out that we were together?' he looked at her. She was shivering, and was even paler then before 'Or maybe you simply toyed with me? Played with my feelings?' his voice was eerily, unnaturaly calm.

'No! How could you even think about that? I really love you, we just can't...'

'But why then?' He asked quietly. She looked as if she wanted to tell him something, but knew that she wasn't allowed.

' I'm so sorry... It really doesn't depend on me, I...I can't help it!' and then she ran out, leaving Tom all alone with his thoughts.

<end of flashback>

"She's lying, I'm sure she just fall in love with another guy and is too much a chicken to tell it to me, straightly in the face!" He felt tears pouring down his face "Damn it!!! Damn her!!! I won't cry, I won't be weak, worse things alredy hapened to me" .He tried, unsucsesfully, to stop these damn tears. He looked at the only photo of Minerva he had. It was at the Yule Ball, and she was there with John Potter, his arch-rival. he decided to do to the common rooom.

"Maybe listening to them will chear me up." thought Tom " Their problems are so ridiculously funny, they always make me laugh." he stood at the top of the stairs leading to the common room, and then quickly jumped back to the dorm. Oh, yes, he forgot... The whole Slytherin lot hated him for dating Minerva.When he was somewhere near them, they went silent, and looked at him as if they wanted to kill him.The thought made him shake with anger. He risked his reputation, lost his two sidekicks, Steven Malfoy and George Avery, just to be with that stupid Mudblood. And now she left him, just like that, without even giving a reason.

Thanks goodness he was in his seventh year, he wouldn't have to bare the slight 'dislike' of his fellow Slytherins for much longer.But, for the moment, he was getting seriously bored in his dorm, and wanted to think in peace, which he couldn't do because of the noise comming up to him from the common room. He decided to take a walk in the Forbidden Forest. He supposed that he would stand the looks of the Slytherins for few moments.

Just as he thought, the whole common room stopped talking as soon as he showed himself in the room. He weared his usual smirk on the face, not letting anyone guess that the looks he was getting disturbed him in the slightest.

Finally, he was out of the castle. He walked fast next to the game-keepers' hut, and reached the forest.

"I think that this is the thing that makes a place or a persons charm" thought Tom " The fact that it's forbidden. Dating a Mudblood, for example, is 'forbidden' for a Slytherin, that's why I insisted so much on continuing our relationship." He was trying to make his way past the bushes of the Forbidden Forest and didn't even notice that was getting badly scratched. " No, who am I fooling? I won't lie to myself, won't I? I really *do* love her. But why did she leave me in the moment I need her the most? It's as if she treated me like a toy ; now she's got bored, that's why she dumped me."

Tom clenched his fists as he thought about it. He was always rejected, always apart, always alone. He never was like other people, even though, at first, he didn't know who he exactly was. He was the best student Hogwarts ever had. Even before knowing that he was a wizard, he knew how to control his powers. He could do magic even without a wand. He remembered so well the first time he did anything 'weird'. It was when he was 5 years old, and was rocketed by a boy 6 years older then him, Jerry Brown. He saw a wooden desk behind the fat asshole, and really wanted it to hit the boy, to beat him to a bloody pulp. And it did. It did so bad that Jerry was in a hospital for the next 3 months.

The situation did have its good sides, though. At least Jerry didn't bother him when he was back. In fact, nobody did. Tom never had any true friends before, but after the 'Jerry' incident no one even looked at him if it wasn't really nececairy. When the Hogwarts acceptance letter came, everyone was relieved, including Tom. He was sure that it was a very natural thing, in the Wizarding world, to almost kill a kid that annoyed you.

Even if it wasn't true, the years spent at Hogwarts were the most beautiful years in his life. Everyone in Slytherin knew that his ancestor was Salazar Slutherin himself, and he was a sort of a hero in his house.

He could think as hard as possible, but he still didn't understand how come he landed up dating Minerva McGonagall. He could have any Slytherin girl he wanted, but no, he just HAD to fall for a Mudblood.

Even though he was feeling depressed, he noticed that it was getting cold. But he felt a strange urge to walk, as if he was heading to a special place, where someone was waiting for him.
