When Love Strikes

Part ~ One

July, 2001

Serena Coleman entered the dorm that she would be sharing with two other people, while she attends collage. A quick look around told her that she was the first one to get there. She turned as her father and her younger brother entered lugging boxes.

" Where do you want this Rena?" Sammy asked Serena eyed her brother as he strained under the box of computer parts. Then pointed down the small hall to the left of the door. Sammy nodded and moved down the hall. Serena looked at her father, Alexandre Coleman.

" It's nice...," Alexandre said looking at the bare living room with putrid green furniture, in it. Serena sighed; she'd had this conversation with her father for the past four months and on the plane ride there. She braced herself for what would come next.

" Rena, I can still buy you the apartment or house off campus, if you want." Serena walked to her father and kissed his cheek, " I'll be fine Daddy, besides you and Sammy are just a phone call away, right?"

" That's right," Sammy said coming out of the bedroom. Serena eyed her brother; he had shoulder length brown hair and sparkling green eyes that drew attention to his classic roman features. She couldn't believe that her little brother was nineteen. She shook her head, Sammy would be starting collage as a freshman at Michigan U, in the fall when he and their father got back to the states. Serena had wen there herself for two years, It was a good school but she wanted to be a Marine Archeologist and needed to be near the water. She had jumped at the chance to go to the collage in the West Indies. Because she knew that she wouldn't get much chance of hands on projects while in Michigan. Alexandre looked from his daughter to his son, and back. " I don't suppose that I can change your mind about this?" Serena shook her head, " I'll be fine Daddy," She said again while hugging him. Then she practically shoved her father and brother out of the dorm, to the waiting limo. She loved her Brother and Father dearly but she didn't want her roommates to know that her father was Lord Alexandre Coleman, Heir to the Coleman name and the Duke of Portmaine. Serena waved her family off then walked back into her dorm. She went into her room and began setting up her computer.

" Hello? Anyone here?" A voice said from the front room. Serena was under her desk connecting wires when she called back, "Back here!" She heard footsteps coming in her direction.

" Aloha!" Said the voice. Serena crawled from under her desk and smiled. The girl she was staring at had long bluish hair and dark complexion. She was wearing a pair of ratty jeans and a Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned over a blue bikini top.

" Hello," Serena said and stood dusting off the knees of her black jeans. Serena herself was wearing a pair of black jeans, a orange backless halter top and a multi-colored bandana over her long blonde hair. She looked at the girl with sparkling eyes; one was light lavender and the other a silvery gray. Serena offered the other girl her hand,

" I'm Serena Coleman, but everyone calls me Rena."

Amy smiled taking notice of the strange eyes of the other girl, " Amy Marcelna." Suddenly Amy remembered about the folder that the admittance office had given her. " It seems that instead of two roommates we have another one coming in." She handed the file to Serena. Looking it over Serena smiled, " the more the merrier right?" Amy grinned liking the beautiful blonde then eyed the impressive computer system that she had been putting together. " Right...nice computer." she said nodding at it.

Serena shrugged, " A gift from my father." She smiled, " I still have stuff downstairs, and I am sure you do as well. So why don't we get your stuff settled then worry about mine?"

Amy nodded and the two girls linked arms and made their way out of the Rez building and to the rental car that was piled high with Amy's boxes.

After about an hour of struggling them managed to get all their stuff into the dorm if not totally unpacked, and were sitting at the table drinking tea when the door burst open and what looked like a dark purple whirl wind entered. Serena and Amy jumped and looked at it.

" Hello," they said

The other girl was dressed in black leather pants and a purple silk shirt. Looked over at them focusing dark purple eyes on them. She blushed at her entrance and walked over to them.

" Bonjourno! I'm Raye Marcelli." She offered them her hand

" I'm Serena Coleman, and this is my new friend and our roommate, Amy Marcelna."

Serena blinked, as did Raye and Amy.

" Weird!" the three of them said at the same time then broke into a fit of giggles.

Raye delivered her duffel bag and few boxes to her room and rejoined Amy and Serena at the table explaining that the rest of her stuff hadn't arrive yet. They sat at the table and got to know each other, they found out that Amy was from Kawaii and wanted to become a pediatric surgeon and was 23. Raye was 23 from Sicily and was majoring in Law and a minor in Social Development. Serena admitted to be being from Michigan and was 22, and was going to major in Marine Archeology and minor in Marine Biology. " So when does the fourth member of our party get here?" Raye asked as she polished off the remaining tea.

Serena flipped through the folder Amy had given her earlier and blink, " He arrive from Sydney, Australia in a few days." Raye sputtered and spit tea everywhere, while Amy thumped her on the back.

" Excuse me, did you just say HE!?" Raye asked her face red from choking on the tea.

Serena nodded and read the information aloud, " Seiya Kou, 24 from Sydney Australia, Majoring in Marine biology and a minor in Social Development." Serena flipped through the file looking for a picture. Not finding one she continued to read. " It seems we're supposed to pick him up from the Airport on Thursday."

Raye and Amy looked at each other and sighed, " Some much for have a girls only dorm." They said and dodged the pillow that Serena threw at them.

" What if he's cute, huh?" Serena asked putting the file up.

Raye snapped to attention, " She does have a point."

Amy smiled a dreamy look on her face.

Suddenly there was a knock from a door across the living room. The girls stared out it then Serena got up and walked passed the gross couch and chair and opened it to see a smiling man there. He had long blonde hair that curled slight at his temples. He was also huge filling the space of the doorframe.

" Hello?" Serena asked softly.

The man offered her his hand, " Greetings. I am Zoicite Morganson, I'm your dormsharer." Raye and Amy had joined Serena at the door, " Dorm sharer?" Raye asked looking him over from head to toe. Admiring how the leather pants encased his legs. Zoicite nodded blushing a little at the obvious look, " Yes I and the people in my Dorm share the Kitchen and Living room with you." Amy smiled shyly and stuck out her hand shaking the one that he was still holding out to Serena, " I'm Amy Marcelna, these are my friends, Serena Coleman, and Raye Marcelli." Raye and Serena nodded politely.

Zoicite smiled at the blue haired girl, " a pleasure." He looked over his shoulder and yelled, " Jadeite! Tony get your butts over here!" As if out of thin air two more men appeared and smiled at them. Serena realized that the doorway was getting crowded and smiled, "Maybe we should moved into the front room?" The guys nodded and walked over to the couch that Serena was sure she'd never sit on and plopped down. She could see billows of dust rise off it.

" Ah'm Jadeite Rowans," The other blonde said and smiled shyly at the girls.

" An' I'm Tony McClarty."

Serena, Amy and Raye exchanged a look and squealed, Tony had an adorable Scottish accent. Jadeite a southern Drawl and they were hot! The guys just smiled thinking along similar lines. This was going to be a fun two
