Chapter 5: The Dream’s Were It Ends
Jadali: And as the title of the chapter alone is hurting my head, I’ll bet we’re in for a doozy.
I started it with a poem I thought it fit to end it
Elspeth: Now?
Jadali: Immediately?

Jadali: Maybe not heartless, but I’m debating the existence of other vital organs.

AFTER THE BATTLE THIRD PERSONS P.O.V
Jadali: (looking around frantically) Did we miss a chapter? What battle?
Elspeth: Maybe one went on in the background when we weren’t paying attention.
Jadali: If it did, then damn am I ever good! *happy dance*
She needed to think she couldn’t understand it, last night she had, had a dream but in it she was back at Manticore she dreamed Lydecker had told them to pick out their future mates.
Both: Uh-oh.
Jadali: If I didn’t know better, I’d say the author heard us bitching about commas, despite the fact they’re in the wrong places.
Jacob and Sly,
Jadali: Syl, to you.
Krit and Lori, all of them just like they used to be but finally it was Zack’s turn he looked between her and two other girls Max and Tinga. He chose her Harmony she could see Zane smile and wink at her she was in shock Lydecker looked both pleased and up-set. When she had asked Zack why he had chose her he just told her she was his choice so he picked her.
Elspeth: Oh, so it’s boys pick girls to make our dear avatar look fragile and likeable.
Jadali: It’s not working.
Then her dream switched to the time Zack had kissed her only this time he hadn’t pushed her away he had keep her there.
Jadali: Crack out the champagne! Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the first individual correct usage of the word ‘there’!
But she remembered one of the times they had been paired up in two’s. Her and Zack were out trying to bring in the others but she slipped and fell the nurses told her she had been hit on the head and was knocked out for some reason Zack was never able to meet her eyes.
Elspeth: Woo.
A week after that they left Manticore and she never even looked back she still wonders what happened oh well maybe now’s a good time to find out "Zack!"
Jadali: (ticking off list on hand) random tense change…voice changes, too…bad punctuation and grammar…severe OOC…I think we picked the right one, El.
She screamed as she walked into Logan's apartment she could hear Logan in the his computer room saying something "sounds like your in trouble Zack" he laughed.
Jadali (Zack, IC): I’m gonna beat your pansy ass for that, wheelchair or no wheelchair!
Elspeth: And what exactly is Zack’s ‘In Trouble?’
Zack stalked into the room very aware of Harmony standing there in Logan's kitchen looking like an angel *my angel* he thought reeling a little from the thought then deciding it was a good one she was his angel she always had been and she always would be.
Jadali: And the nominees for the longest running sentence award are…
Elspeth: Um, do they still hate each other at this point? I’m confused.
Harmony just stood there looking at Zack hoping he’d say something the minutes seemed to drag on and when she realized he wasn’t going to say something
Jadali: Well, duh. She was the one doing the ‘come hither’ thing.
Elspeth: Whatever extraordinary abilities this character is endowed with, memory is not one of them.
she sighed "I came to say good-bye Zack. I’ve been up on the roof thinking and I finally realized that I’ve been very selfish by staying here so I’m off again well C-ya" she told him.
Elspeth (Zack): Yay! The bitch is off my ass at last!
Jadali (same): Kegger on me!
As she turned to the door Zack was sure he could hear his heart breaking into a thousand tiny pieces but like the soldier he was he didn’t cry not even a tear. "Please tell Max bye for me and that I love her" she said once more before she walked through the door Zack could hear her out-side the door walking away and something else that sounded a lot like crying.
Both: Aww…*sniffle* …NOT.
Bling turned the radio on and it played through the whole apartment a song by some girl named Lori
Jadali: Oh, what a coincidence.
the only X-5 out were Lydecker could find her but for some reason she seemed safer then any of them.
Elspeth: Safer THAN. That’s an A, not an E, fool.
Jadali: And I’m not touching the "where" problem.
Maybe because Lydecker had trained his kids that hiding in the open would get you killed or captured but it worked for Lori. She wrote this song when she was talking to him one night she had wrote it for Krit.
Both: HAD WRITTEN.

Jadali: (yawning widely) Is it over yet?
Elspeth: Yup.
Zack listened as the rest of the song faded away and ran to the door he pulled it open so fast he almost tripped over Harmony "I left my keys" she said shyly.
Jadali: Well, that we can attribute to the poor memory, I guess.
Elspeth: Yuppers.
Zack just smiled and pulled her to him with a kiss that was sure to turn everyone’s head "I love you Harmony please don’t leave" Zack asked "I won’t I love you to Zack" she whispered to him as tears streamed down her face.
Jadali: Oh. How utterly touching. I think I’ll go pay homage to the porcelain god, if you don’t mind.
Elspeth: And ‘please don’t leave’ ain’t a question, so he ain’t askin’ her to stay. Which means she won’t!
Both: YAY!
Elspeth: Is that it?
Jadali: Nope. We’ve still got what I’m assuming is an Epilogue-of-sorts. And we’ll have help, so that’s a bonus.
Elspeth: Are we gonna tell Zack about his counterpart’s utter soppiness in this?
Jadali: You can, I’ll just …duck over here for a minute…*runs off into the distance*
Elspeth: Git yer ass back! We’re not done yet!
Both: *shudder*
