Today I shall speak about an issue I feel to be important simply because I think people who buy into it are complete idiots and most of the population does just that, how upsetting.
In third world nations around the world, children as young as five work in terrible consitions where they are paid mere cents a day making shoes, emblasoning these near-slave made articles with logos that the stupid people of the western world think are "cool", such as the evil yet ever present Swoosh-stika, these shoes made with child labour, children who are living in the most despicable poverty this world has to offer under the constant threat of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of their taskmasters.
These shoes are then shipped into Canada, the United States and the rest of the western world and sold at sixty to one hundred and fifty dollars a pop and these prices are accepted by populous who turns a blind eye to the attrocities that took place during the the manufacturing process of these shoes just so they can be accepted into their brainwashed, revoltingly wasteful, and material obsessed McSociety.
If you can't be outraged for the moral implications of selling these shoes then be outraged that they cost a small fraction of what you pay to produce something along the lines of one tenth of the price tag and I can guarantee that only a small portion of that cost is the wages of the poor, miserable human beings that made them.
If you are wearing shoes made in Indonesia, China, Taiwan or any other East Asian country chances are they were made by children woking in conditions much like those described here. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should be ashamed for giving into this media generated belief that if you don't have the right kind of shoes, shorts, shirts you aren't cool.
If you agree with me, or if you want to argue, my e-mail address is below. Thanks for your time.
