I'm not sure on the legend behind this, but I will definitely research it more. Legend has it that in this tomb is 'buried' John Wallace Mitchell -- The Key West Vampire. I forgot my map on my first visit, but sure enough, I found myself attracted to the New Orleans style red brick building that housed the vampire I was searching for. Key West locals have had parties on Halloween night here in the past.
