Sure your car loves the stuff !! But will you let your car ruin Kaua'i ?? I love a smooth road too ! But politicians will stretch the road dollar until there are potholes bursting the suspension of your car. Thin, rutty surfacing of the vastest area is the RULE for politicians !!

"We have to make sure that water won't run through it." Surfacing is done with bitumens. "Paving" is done with concrete. These men are working with a tar- like substance.

One day the whole of Kaua'i will be surfaced ! Why should we let anybody have a say or spend money on our island to surface it over ?? All decisions and funding should be entirely Kaua'i's own business !
