RolePlaying

Okay you clicked on role playing cause obviously you want to learn more about it and want some tips to help you. Well first of all let me say this information is for the 'online' role playing in chats rooms. After I have fully explained as best I can to you numb skulls, by a numb skull*L* I'll give you addresses to my favorite places to role play. Just please don't go there and be a fucking idiot and spam the whole place. Come on lets all play nice! Okay back on our subject. Lets start at the beginning where you choose a name. Usually people have some mysterious dark name that no one has heard of or cant even pronounce. But hey it works and gets peoples attention. Though it kind of depends on the clan you want your char to be in. So we are basing the name on the char's attitude and their attitude comes from the clan and their mortal life. So pick a name your gonna be happy with.

Okay the next thing it figuring out what your char looks like, maybe getting a brief history if you feel the need. I always like to have a pre history for my char's in case anyone asks their background and such. Now if you totally unfamiliar with the role-playing world then here are the symbols you will need to know to understand everyone. *--- Those are action symbols, they go around the char's written action. Example: *Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child*

Some people may use other symbols to go around the actions such as: +Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child+ : Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child: /Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child/ ~Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child~

The other symbol used often is the (( )) parenthesis. They are used for OOC babble though. OOC meaning Out Of Character. This simply means a player wishes to speak to another out of char. Off stage, out of the spotlight, whatever. Example: *Her arms lock in his with a trembling embrace of a frightened child* (Hey Billy Joe Bob, what's your chars clan?) Or whatever they want to say out of character. Now if you want to get into role-play action, you need to be drawn to people and people need to be drawn to you. In other words, you gotta like their role-playing and they gotta like yours. The best way to be is a good role player. You need to describe everything to the last bone, show how it feels and how it looks. Show us what you mean through the expressions. Don't tell us your sad, you better describe to us what sad is. You can't tell a blind man how to see. You must show him through your words! Its not that hard once you get into it and become your char and feel and need and want what they feel need and want. Well I bet you cant wait to get out there and try it. I hope I havent made you read too much! Well I have some links here to get you started:
