Uberzone and Rennie Pilgrim - Black Widow
When I first heard this song, I was shocked. It has a very different feel for an Uberzone track, a phenomenon probably explained by the presence of breaks maestro Rennie Pilgrim. Their styles mesh well together, and form a new sound for the both of them. This song is an incredible track to break into. It builds from the beginning and then soars like an electro orgasm. It has all of Ubie's trademark tribal sounds, plus a strange voice singing god-knows-what in the background. I adore this track, and I've played it at the last two parties I've DJed. I like it more than Uberzone's version of the song, mostly because of the exciting drum work. This version immerses yourself in it, while the original simply pumps the adrenaline, and drives the crowd apeshit.
