Snappin' one off for the advancement of literature

Mission
Established in February 2001, the MSWC's sole purpose is to give aspiring writers an opportunity to practice their craft in a comfortable, and therefore motivating, environment. Believing in the axiom, "What's the difference between a writer and a non-writer? A writer writes," members of the MSWC create only for the benefit and entertainment of themselves.

Our Work
All stories created by the MSWC are written in a round-robin format, i.e., one writer starts the story, then hands off to another writer, etc., etc.

Story No. 1: Where Have You Gone, Gary Varsho?
Composed in Spring 2001. The setting is Chicago in October 2001 and the Cubs are in the World Series for the first time since 1945.

Story No. 2: As yet untitled
Composed in Summer 2001. A small passenger plane crashes in the Alaskan Interior.

Disclaimer
All stories created by the MSWC are complete fiction. Along the way, we use the names of real people in the public eye who we enjoy making fun of. We are aware that some of our material is very libelous. Here's a couple of tips if you happened upon our site by chance:
   1) If you are in junior high and doing a report on a famous person mentioned within this site, don't use us as a source. As entertaining as you might find this material, it just ain't true.
   2) If you are among the libeled and you happened upon our work during a narcissistic Web surfing episode, hey, it's only a joke. Relax. No one reads this stuff. Sure, you could send us an e-mail threatening legal action, but we don't have any money and a lawsuit would only draw attention to our site by real media that real people actually read. Common sense would say, "why bother?" But if you do, that's cool, too. Just drop us a line.
