Why is it chicks always go for the guys that are jerks?
My theory is that several things go through the girl's mind when she is in a stupid relationship that probably won't last for several reasons:
- Only I see his gentle side.: A lie or an event that happens every blue moon.
- Love will change him.: HAH! Once again they think that he cares enough for them he will change. They are maybe bored emotionally and need a project. In some instances they do change the guy but by then they are bored again.
- If he doesn't change I can always leave.: Another lie for most people. They keep making excuses saying they do see a change. And he is making progress or something like that.
- I love him for everything even his faults.: They basically fool themselves into the fact that they can look past his idiosyncrasies (being a jerk in this case) is a sign of love. When in fact they are planning on changing his ways. So they aren't looking over them. Or maybe it does bother them but they want to be in love so much they don't notice it. Only later do they realize their false ways.
- He truly cares for me.: Who knows maybe he does and most girls feel if he isn't as big of a jerk around them this makes them extra special. If he's a jerk to everyone but her then she must be one hot number. So why go breaking up with him if it makes her special? She feels good about herself meanwhile he's an ass. But that also means when ever he blows up at her she feels like the lowest thing on earth even if it wasn't her fault.
Of course there could be other factors like a cute butt or money. And who knows maybe it is love. I don't mean to be pessimistic but in most abusive or unhealthy relationships those are the things probably going on in the girl's mind. Most women with self-confidence don't usually go out with a jerk but it all depends. My advice to all those boys who think girls only like jerks(like my brother) is: Knock it off because not every girl is like that or at least the ones that are worth it aren't like that. Plus it goes both ways. Why do boys always fall for the girls that fall for jerks? I think when gets right dow to it the key is sex appeal and that's it.
