Which soda goes best with fondue?

A:  *sigh*  Could you be a little less specific?  Sure, I know you're asking about Italian-style fondue, but not everyone who reads this is all-knowing, you know.  As with most Italian dishes, the answer is something red.  I suggest a nicely aged red cream soda.  You'll find it brings out the flavor of the spices and is refreshing to boot.  For those of you who are interested, classic swiss fondue absolutely demands ginger ale.  And, for Heaven's sakes, if you're partial to drinking Pepsi with your fondue, switch to terpentine.  It's less caustic.
