The Water
Reflecting the sparkeling twinkle of a thousand stars.
It was calling me, tempting me to play.
I allow my silken dress fall about my ankles.
The velvet sand between my toes, the water lapping at the shore.
The cool water runs over my feet filling my soul anew.
I dive in, submerged in the refreshing life.
It washes over my body, it feels like I am flying.
But soft, the feeling never lasts,
And I am washed upon the desolate shore again.
