Show : May 5, 2003 w/ Avril Lavigne and GOB, my 2nd SP show San Antonio Texas.
Simple Plan's show on May 5th 2003 was great, although I didnt have good seats because I didn't buy tickets at first because all they announced was that it was Avril Lavignes tour, and when they announced that Simple Plan was opening the GA floor was sold out, but that actually worked out for the best. The section I was sitting in was the last one off to the side of the stage, and there was a open door there. I wanted to go back there but the security guard told me I couldn't. I asked him what it was and from that door you could go backstage or out to the bus area. So me and my friend Sarah waited out around the door just to see if we could see anyone. we didn't want to sit in our seats waiting for the show to start. Tom from GOB walked by, and then we saw Patrick come out. I had already met Pat before but my friend hadn't and she was too shy to talk to him so I ended up calling his name and taking a picture with him and he gave me some gummie bears and then had to go check on the merch. Then we saw Seb run by and yelled his name, he didn't come out but he kept stopping in front of the door and messing with us. Then we were talking and not looking and Pierre came by and stopped and stared at us I called his name and waved, he waved back and then ran off. Soon after the show started. When Simple Plan came on the crowd was good. They sang the songs they normally played and also did little covers of Ice Ice Baby, In Da Club and other songs. They put on a hell of a show and then we went to the signing. I saw Pat and my friend Kelley was talking to him and I went over and we all talked about the DVD and about the Invasion Crew. We got back in line and went through and met the guys. Got pictures with some of them. Then went to watch Avril. After the show we met up with my sister who had GA seats and then were about to leave when one of our friends moved a gate and we drove to the bus area and waited around for the guys, we talked to David for about 10 minutes and then Chuck came out, I didnt have anymore pictures left and so I just asked him for a hug, he though I asked for a picture so he put his arm around me and was like "Sure who's going to take it?" and I told him "I just wanted a hug" he was like oh ok then and hugged me really tight and for a long time. Then we went to talk to Jeff and he showed us his tattoo, and then we had to leave.

Show : May 24, 2003 Earth Day Festival with Lucy Woodward, Bowling For Soup, Lisa Marie Presley, Kelly Clarkson, Jewel, and others. Houston, Texas
I arrived at the venue at around 8 am, the gates would open around 11 and we were determined to get front row, which we did. We were right at the front towards Sebs side of the stage. We sat through Lucy Woodward before SP came on and then we saw Chuck and Pierre going up the stairs to get onstage, and then we see Pat off towards the side of the stage getting his camera ready. So we got ready and we had turned a little piece of paper into a SP invasion crew sign. We kept holding it up and David kept coming over and pointing to us, waving, winking, and playing in front of us. It was great, Pierre kept pouring water on us since it was soo hot outside, and Pat filmed us and posted a video of the show on the Simple Plan website. After their set we left the crowd and went and saw Pat. I was walking around and he came up to me and said hi and asked me how I was doing, he remembered me from the Avril show on May 5th. We talked for a while and a whole bunch of girls started following us whispering to each other "thats the guy who was on stage with simple plan" It was funny one of the girls thought his name was Hunter. Well anyways we went over to this area with a fence and the guys were there so we talked to David and then we got all of the guys signatures and talked. It was too hot to stay so we left and went home.

Show: May 9th, 2003 on Avril Lavigne's Try To Shut Me Up Tour With Gob, SP, and Avril Lavigne
It was on Friday so at my school we had a half day. My friend Amanda came over so we could go to the concert together. My birthday was the day before so my mom had gotten tickets for me and my friend. We got ready and went down to the Savvis Center where the concert was being heled. It was cool because everyone in Saint Louis knew about it and all the local radio statons were talking about it. I even talked to some of the radio Djs. Anyways back to the story, we went inside where we saw our other friends Britany, Kayla, and Abby. First to perform was Gob. I never really heard of Gob so when they started to play I thought they rocked. Then Simple Plan went on. Me and Amanda wanted to see Simple Plan better so we decided to sneek down to the floor. That was sort of a bad idea because then when 5 security guards saw us they started chasing us. We ran around everywhere trying to get away from them when I saw an opening to get back to the concert area. It turns out it was the floor area and we were able to get away from security. When Simple Plan performed it rocked! It was also Pierre's birthday. SP did covers of Ice Ice Baby, In Da Club, and Lose Yourself. After that Avril Lavigne performed and she was good too. At the end of the concert, Simple Plan went to sign autographs and meet people. I was in line but then this big crowd of people came running trying to get near SP so I just left. All in all it was a good time.

Show: Vans Warped Tour '03 in Boston Massachusetts.
Unfortuatly I had gotten hurt and screwed up my leg and I had to go on crutches and a big leg brace. I was real uncomfortable but I forgot about that and enjoyed the show. I watched The Ataris first and after them was Simple Plan. They were great the crowd went crazy I was like right there on the side pretty close to the stage it was awesome Pierre put water on front row people but I was on the side, and he had us all sing to Grow up, it was crazy, Pierre told everyone he would stop by his tent to say hi and than the rest of them were having a siginging at the ap tent (alternative press). So I was like o cool I will go talk to them and meet them. Unfortunatly there was a mad load of girls who rushed to see them before me and since I was on crutches I wasnt exactly the fastest one in the pack, so my freind and I went to the Simple Plan tent. We were pretty close in line so we decided to stay, soon Patrick got up and said everybody move back and I got crushed, my leg was being leaned on by a big man and no one would move to let me out. It hurt real bad and I coudln't control it so I started crying and was yelling get me out Im on crtuches, these girls helped me out and pushed a way for me. I was thinking if I go to the ap tent its going to be just the same. So I went and saw the Dropkick Murphies, Mest, AAR, and some smaller bands. I decicided I would go check out the ap tent and the line was like 3 hours long i was like omg I cant stand that long in line (cause my leg wouldnt be able to stand it). SO I walked up to this guy controling the tent, told him how I hurt myself, told him how I got crushed, and asked if i could just meet them and cut the line. So hes like ok if no ones looking go in. My freind and I were like wow this is so cool! So I went in and first was David and I got his autogrpah on my hat and I was excited and I didnt ask him for a hug, he gave me a big smile though( it was so sweet). Than i got Jeff's autograph and a hug, he was so nice about it too. Next I met Chuck he was sweet he seemed like he felt bad and asked what happened but the line was moving so I couldnt really tell him and I got a hug from him too, next was Pierre same thing got a hug he was awesome about it, than last but not least I met Seb he was totally cool he signed my hat and said sure about giving me a hug. It was real cool to meet them and get thier signitures, I was glad to meet them but I wish I could have talked to them and told them how much thier music meant to me, but im glad I got to hug/get autogrpahs from five guys that have helped me through tough times.

Well, I've only seen Simple Plan twice, both of which meeting them consisted of being pushed thru a line, so I don't really have any. What can I say, they're an awesome live band and very dedicated and considerate, considering they take so much time to sign for so many people.
Simple Plan's Video Shoot For "I'd Do Anything"

June 8, 2002 - Toronto, Ontario (Parkdale)
6:30 am - the extras gather at the scene (I wasn’t there cause they didn’t call me because I live in Mississauga I guess) then I don’t know what happened until 3
2:45 pm - I show up…. I see Seb and go over to talk to him. I get a hug and then the guy (His name was Billy and I think he was the director or assistant or a member of the crew) he told us to go behind this building and wait there for instruction.
3:15 pm - Chart Attack ended up doing a interview with Simple Plan in the back of the alley and all the fans were watching….
3:35 pm - Scene 1 for background - We all went into the alley forming a mosh pit …. We did some cheering and jumping around and they were filming us. There is suppose to be some guy in the front getting kicked in the balls or something (that’s what Billy said) and then we all had to kinda do a “pick me me me!!” action pointing to ourselves and mosh to the front.
4:45 pm - we were standing in front of the building where the indoor studio was. Waiting for them to finish setting up the stage and let us in.
5:12 pm - Seb came out and said “thank you guys for coming”
5:28 pm - David runs out somewhere with his g/f
5:48 pm - Jeff and Seb come looking for David and they find him
6:03 pm - Pat tapes the crowd in front of the studio still waiting… David waves out the window on the 6th floor to us.
6:09 pm - The guys come out to hang out with us… I get my album signed and my “gay picture”… David’s like “Aww my favourite bracelet!” he points to the white one in the pic “I lost it” and makes a sad face. And then he asks where I got it from… and I say off the net from the invasion crew… and he says “oh yeah? I singed this pic b4 like on Wednesday I think” and I’m like yeah it was Bea. I go over to Seb and he’s like “oh man” and he autographs it….. Then I go to Chuck and he singed it and he laughs. Then I go to Pierre and he looks at the photo trying to remember where it was taken… and says “I think it was New York” but I couldn’t help him cause I had no idea. Then I took a pic with Chuck, Seb and Pierre.
6:55 pm - We enter the building… go on this freaky big elevator that not supposed to be used for people but for the factory uses , but we go on 20 ppl at a time.
7:00-7:30 pm - We are in the studio and its hell hot because of the big lamps that give off heat. First we did a scene where every one was at the front and we were jumping and cheering and there was a stage in front and simple plan was playing there… on the wall there was painted “simple plan” and it was made to look really old, wicked tho! We had to swing these lamps on the celling for the effect. And I was really hot and the studio lamps were blinding us!
7:33 pm - we finished the scene and every one was claping and the guys said we rock and we are doing good! And Pierre said “That was awesome you guys! Only 25 more times!” and he waits for the reaction and were like “YEAH!!”
7:35 pm - we dance and sing “YMCA” and Pierre and Seb join! Don’t ask someone started it and soon everyone was doing it. Then we do some more shooting…
8:00 pm - they ask of to fill all around the stage and I got on the side where Jeff and David are. Then we see some funny stuff when Seb and Pierre stand in front of the big fan (I mean a electronic fan! One that blows air!?) and their clothes get inflated and the walk on the stage looking like sumo wrestlers!
8:07 pm - they start taping and simple plan starts playing “I’d do anything” and all the fans jump and scream.
8:15 pm - David pulls down Chucks pants on stage! And he stands there in his boxers.. How cute
8:20 pm - David and Pierre show off on the skate board on stage and they do a little jumping.
8:22 pm - David sees me recording so he waves to the camera and says “how are you?, how’s it going?” and I say great and he asks what my name is and I say “Angelika” and he’s like “what’s that? And he comes over closer almost falling of stage so I tell him again…. And hes like “how do you spell that?” so I say “a-n-g-e-l-i-k-a” and he tryies to spell it and says “a-n-g” and I help him out so he finishes “e-l-i-k-a” and then hes like “angelika” and he looks in my camera and says ”I’d like to say hi to angelika’s mom!” he does dome kisses and sticks his tongue out and he looks all sexy! I got it on my video camera! (I also really showed it to my mom!! And she loves him now! And she said “that boy’s so sweet” DAVID WANTS MY MOM!! Ha ha
8:36 pm - some people start to leave, that was rude, b/c were not nearly done yet and we needed people, but oh well…. Thanks to the people who stayed till the end!
8:40 pm - my batterie dies for the video cam but it still works for pics….
9:00 pm - some more shots, us jumping around ….. They give us some water with ice to drink… we cool off at the fans. We talk with them, I talk with Jeff I ask him for a guitar pic.
9:25 pm - we get freezes… David sees us eating one and brags that he wants one too.. So we go over to the table and get him one.. One of the fans gives him a watermelon one…. He says “wata-melon” in a funny way.. Then he takes a bite… and says “it tastes like soap… but its good!” makes a ewwy face. “this tastes like the soap gum…. U guys remember the soap candy? My dad used to give me soap candy whenever I would swear!.. no jk!”
10:00 pm - more shots…. more talk (secret talk) he he he…..more pics
11:35 pm - we finished
11:38 pm - I talk to David I get yet another hug… like the 5th one that day… and I ask him for a guitar pic. He didn’t have any left and was really sorry. I said it was ok… then he took a styro-cup that he drank from and he autographed it for me…. Ha ha…. And then some guy from the crew is like “do u want my autograph?” and I was like “sure man!” so he signed it too… then I hugged David again…. And he was thanking me for coming and that it meant a lot that I stayed so late so they can finish.
11:42 pm - I went outside to wait for mom to pick me up… I waited with Pierre and he gave me a hug and autographed David’s cup too. Some of the fans gave me their emails so I can email them the pictures from my camera. Everyone was tired, sweaty, hungry…. But it was all worth it in the end…. It was so much fun….. And the guys were so nice we got hugs and pics and we talked… David and Pierre were awesome! thanks! Simple Plan you guys rock! This was the best day ever!… 11:54 pm - my mom came to pick me up… I gave Pierre the last hug and I jumped in my car and waved bye to Pierre and Patrick…

*****I went to the VMA Blast Off Concert in NYC on 8/26...what a kick ass time!! I left my house around 830AM and didnt get to NYC until around 240PM....then it was off to Central Park....we found the line and jumped in....so we were like the 10th and 11th people in line. That was cool but there was still one problem.....we didnt have tickets...lucky for us some girl behind us had 3 extras so she gave us 2 for free! It was cool cuz a lot of people were trying to sell theirs. While I was in line I saw the guys doing an interview and took some pics...then Chuck came over and said hi...I took out my camera and he looked right at it and waved...then he had to go so he said bye...Hes such a sweetie!! Well I ended up in front row...but I couldnt take any pictures cuz MTV sucks I guess...well thats OK cuz I got Pierre's water, Chuck's set list, and Sebs guitar pic! I also made eye contact with Seb and Pierre a lot cuz they were right in front of me! We left right after the show and made it back to my house around 230AM...It was a great night!! I will post the pics as soon as I get them developed. So I would say that Simple Plan take 5 was a huge success because it totally rocked and I cant wait for Simple Plan take 6 (9/27/03!)*****

Show: Boston, MA at the Avalon
ok the day startd when i woke up at 300 am haha, i got all ready and everything and then we left the house at 530 am. we drove to malden, ma and took the t to boston, the stop was right down the street from avalon. we walk to avalon and there are a couple of people waiting outside, turns out they were the same people we met at the gc show!! haha. so i thought yes we r second in line im gonna get right up front!! so it rained until noon and it was so freakn cold it aint even funny, but then the day got a little better around say 230 i walk to the end of the line and guess whos there?!?! CHUCK so i talked to him for a little while, i got two pictures, then i gave hime the bracelet i made for him, it said worlds sexiest drummer, hehe, and i said read it and he said wow theres a lot of type to read, type?? but any way he read it and was like thaaannnnkkk yooouuuu veerrrry muuuch, and i was like ur welcome. this lady said nice boxers, which they were, and he said ya these r my special boxers, lol, they were pink with little dark pink hearts on them hehe, he looked so hot with his glasses on hehe. so then he goes inside and i walk back to my spot. about twnty minutes later a walk back to the back of the line and guess whose across the street, it a small street mind u, SEB so i took a coupld of pictures from far away hten he walked across the street too hang with us and i got a pic with him and he looked really scared because of all the little teenie boppers were mobing him so when i was taking the pic i said sorry seb he said its ok. so i walked across the street by their tourbus where pat was unloading the merch stuff from the trailer and i hung with him for a little while, he was really funny, a got a pic with him too. so then i walked back to my spot and i was there for like five miinutes and all of a sudden pat comes running past us screeming can u c me can u c me??!!?! hehe.then he came back out and brought a bunch of boxes of merch on a thingy and dropped one of the boxes in a puddle!! and everypne was like ohh pat but somepeople were laughing, and then he said well ur gonna b the ones buyn them later, then about twenty more minutes in the cold at this poin its like 330. pierre comes walking by us and i asked him if he could take a pic with me and he said ive gotta go to soundcheck but ill be back out soon, then he walked to the door to try to get in and he couldnt because the doors open from the inside hehe so i was like pierre some one has to open them for u, so he tried the latch on the top of the door and that didnt work so i told him again and then he banged on the door to let him in. i am very disapointed in pierre because he lied to me hehe he never came out and i didnt get my pic with him!! grrr.. ok so now lets skip to about 430 at this point its a haf hour til the doors open and im so excited!! at this point the line was like as far as the eye could see, thenthis security guy comes out and says the door that the line started at was the door for people who had to pick up tickes so he said that we had to go back to this other dooor that was a little furthe back ughh people were already at this door at this ponin i am soooooooooo pissed!!! so i run back before he announces to anyone that this is going on and i get right up by the door. so now the security guys are sayn that every one needs to push down so theres room to open the doors ughhhh but i ended up in the fron row right in front of david and jeff so i was really happy bout that!!! then jersey came on i didnt really like them and right before their set ended i felt like i was gonna pass out cuz i couldnt breathe and i need water so i asked the security guard if he could get some water cuz i was gonna pass out and he said no i needed to go to the bar and buy one there that pissed me off so i made a drastic decision to go out and tell the security guard that i was about to pass out and i needed some water so they got me some water and i sat outside for a couple pf minutes and right befor sugarcult came on i went back into the crowd where i wass before except this time i was in the seconed row but i managed to push y wat to the front for simple plan in the same spot i was in the beginning so simple plan came on and i got a ton of pics, they played al their songs from the cd ecept for my alien and they played happy together, where is the love and get the party started. david winked at me, pierre pointed at me , seb looked at me a bunch, jeff was like looking at me the whole time and kept smiling, hehe. by like the last five songs i was still in the front row but i was on a step which madde me higher whic was better than where i started and they looked at me a lot more up there. i looked a t jeff right after he drank a little bit of his water and was like jeff can i have ur water and he threw his bottle that he drank from to me and this other girl tried to get it but i didnt let her so i drank the rest of his water hehe, and sebs pick went on the ground right in front of me so i asked the security guard to get if for me so he did and handed it to me, then david came down onto this box thig that was like right in front of me and was sticking his hand out in the crowd but i couldnt reach him cuz a security guard was in the way. but the show rocked it was the best concert i have ever been to!!!! i wish i could have gotten a pic with david, jeff, and pierre, but theres alwayz next time............
