Cross Country

I met him as we ran through town,
I followed as we ran around.
He runs with all the other guys,
I watch with all the girls behind.
To him i am just another member of the team,
and it always makes me want to scream.
At times I think I run the miles,
just for a glimpse of his perfect smiles.
I see him in the halls with another girl,
and it makes my heart begin to curl.
To me he is perfect in every way,
and in my heart he will surely stay.
Who is the guy that i am speakin of?
Let's just say he's my first true love.

I Will Die
I lay here on my bed at night
and wonder as the moon shines bright,
do you see me as I see you?
the feelings I have I know are true.
you are the one that I actually love
when tested by others you come out above.
because all the others I don't care to appease
but you are the one that I want to please.
you are the one I never want to leave,
but for you to love me itz hard to believe.
the chances are low and the stakes are high
because if you leave my heart will die.
whenever I see you my heart just flies
and I walk and I wait for a simple hi.
for that hi or hello that I long for you to say
that's what keeps me going each day.
i know at some point my love for u will end
but when this happens my will they will send.
for if the thought of not loving you ever enters my head,
then my heart and my soul will surely be dead.

My Boyfriend
He's the guy I love to hang out with,
because he is such fun.
The guy who is hilarious
From the dawning of the sun.

He's the guy I cannot live without,
For even a minute or two.
And often times I wondered,
What have I gotten myself into?


He's the guy I like because of what,
His personality seems to be.
And for those who don't know,
He's caring and he's funny.

He's the guy who hasn't seemed to like me,
And It's made me loose my mind.
But my friends tell me he obviously does,
And they tell me not to be blind.

He's the guy who is my boyfriend
Who I love without a doubt.
But you see there's one small problem,
I need to ask him out.

My Father

I'm in this big tall building,
And I'm staring at this man.
The man I see is frightened,
But has been with me since all of this began.

The man is not a surgeon,
Nor a teacher or a priest,
The man is just my father,
But He's my father at the least.

He tells me happy Birthday,
As I look at him with fear.
He tells me that he loves me,
But the screaming is all I can hear.

I wake up in my bed and cry,
As I think about my dad.
My mom comes in and holds me,
And tells me not to be sad. My father is so peaceful,
As he waits for us in heaven.
And I'm among the few survivors,

Stranger Called Father

You let me go for 14 years,
And then you wrote and gave me tears.
The father who I had once hated,
I thought he was so overated,
To leave before i was even born,
So as i grew my heart was torn.
You are the stranger that i call father.
As friends would talk I wouldn't bother,
to tell them that I had never met you,
By then my heart had long since left you.
Then the day arrived and the letter came,
Life as i knew it would never be the same.
I now have a father with the name of jose,
I had truly hated you until that summer day.
Now when we talk, i yell and i scream,
as you ask about school or the cross-country team.
I know your just trying to catch up with me,
but if you wouldnt have left you'd already know me.
When we're on the phone I am always mad,
and truth be told, I hate you dad.

Too long

I wanted to talk to u but I was to scared,
Then I decided to try but you weren't there.
So the next day I decided to try again,
But then it snowed and the schools were closed again.
So I took this as a sign from above
Assuming this was a forbidden love.
But then I thought, when have I ever listened,
To something forbidden to me. This opportunity glistened.
I promised myself then, that as soon as I could
I will talk to you as I knew I should.
I still felt a little bit unnerved,
And at that point my feelings swerved.
I almost avoided talking to you,
Until a very good friend helped me get through.
Now I am sure that this is what I should do,
But I guess I took to long,
another girl has already gotten to you.

You'd think they would learn

These kids I see in school each day,
They can see drugs hurt even their closest friends
Yet they still seem to do it anyway.
Man! You'd think they would learn!

Girls get pregnant more and more
Even if they know that early parenthood almost always turns bad.
Yet more teens are getting pregnant then ever before.
Man! You'd think they would learn!

Girls these days can cause so much pain,
They'll cheet best friends for guyz and leave them in the dust
They lose all their friends, yet do it over and over again.
Man! You'd think they would learn!

These people always tend to get exactly what they earn,
And yet somehow, they still don't learn!

One Special Woman

As soon as she walked through the door,
She noticed her mother, unconscious on the floor.
She knew that her father had been drinking again
It was no big deal, he only did every now and then.
She tried to get closer, to come to her mother’s aid,
Then she noticed the blood around where she laid.
This time it seemed different, and she looked on with dread,
She got a closer look and saw that her mother was dead.
She turned around quickly, and made a dash for the door,
But her father was quicker, he knocked her to the floor.
He drug her into the other room, in his drunken rage,
Gave her a bloody nose, and broke half of her rib cage.
The neighbors heard screaming, some covered their ears,
Other turned music up so that it was all they could hear.
They were to afraid to help her, or even to try
Even though some knew if the didn’t, the girl might die.
Her father kept hitting her over and over,
Her breathing turned slower and shorter then ever.
She cried and she screamed, she knew what would come,
She would soon be in heaven, she could soon se her mom.
Then suddenly a young woman rushed into the room,
She started hitting the man with the end of a broom.
She jabbed him in the eye, she broke his nose,
But he grabbed it away and stopped her blows.
He punched her away, then began to kick her instead,
But his daughter crawled slowly, and hit him on the head.
She fell to her knees, and remembered her rescuer,
Who in a quiet voice said I should’ve come sooner.
Then later that day as she lay on her hospital bed,
The phone started to ring, she cried at what the man said.
The woman who saved her had died from the wounds,
And he also said that they were very confused.
The womens fingerprints could not be traced,
And her identification must’ve been misplaced.
He asked if she knew who she was, the girl wasn’t a fool.
She answered yes with a smile, she was my guardian angel.

I ran up the door, closed the stairs,
said my pajamas and put on my prayers,
turned off the bed and jumped into the light,
all because you kissed me goodnight!
The next morning,I woke and scrambled my shoes,
Polished my eggs, and toasted the news,
I couldn't tell my left from my right,

Then I put on my hair, and brushed my clothes, put
shoes on my fingers and gloves on my toes.
I flew out the door and ran a kite, all because you kissed me goodnight
That evening at last I felt normal again,
So I picked up my mom, and called the phone,
I spoke to the puppy, and threw Dad a bone,
Even at midnight the sun was still bright,

A kiss is just a kiss until you find the one you love.
A hug is just a hug until it's the one your thinking of.
A dream is just a dream until you make it come true.

You know when I realized I loved him?
It was when I realized that anything that ever happened to me,

You know your in love when....
You can say anything to the person and you know they won't laugh at you.
When you can see their face when you close your eyes.
When you can still feel their arms around you holding
you tight long after they are gone. When you can still taste their kiss after you have said good-bye.
You can tell your in love when you miss them before their even gone.
When their voice lingers in your ears. When their presence eases any pain.
When their name sends chills down your spine.
When they are the only thing you can think about.
You know your in love when you can see all their hopes, dreams, and soul when you look in their eyes.
When they call you at four in the morning and say "I love you" and mean it.
When your tears stain not only their shirt but their heart.
When they are hurt just because of these tears.
When even a simple chore done with them can become a lasting memory.
Ultimately, you know your in love when you can't imagine living without them,
and can't figure, how did you live before you even knew them.
When they fulfill every need and without them you are incomplete.
The love of someone else completes the heart, and soul, and mind all at once -unknown
