In 1999 was the so called beginning of the band. Good friends Chris Nichols, Chris Nguyen and Ben Clutter started playing songs together Ben was on bass at the time. A few originals were made.

In 2000 a drum player was found in Ben Taylor the band evolved into Right On Time and made a home demo called Under The Influence. In 2001 after a few months of playing gigs together Right On Time and Ben Taylor parted ways.

This opened the door for Ben Clutter who took up the role of drummer and left the bass position to Tom Barriskill who is similar in appearance to Jah Jah Binx. Along with the new bass player came a new name, they adopted the persona of 4 Star Hotel, as Right On Time had already been taken. Tom departed the band to work for Qantas in April of 2002.

The 3 original members persisted and recorded their second demo cd self titled with the new name of No Such Luck as they realised they no longer had 4 people in the band. The cd was recorded with good mate Timmo from Productive Music.

The release of the demo attracted much interest amongst the local scene, and their reputation began to grow with the trio soon becoming a quartet with newly joined bass player Iain Stanley.

January of 2003 saw the completion of the band with Mat Heming taking up the role of vocals and front man in the band. The band once again changed it's name for legal reasons, Second Thoughts emerged.

The band is now currently making new songs and jamming to improve their live show for upcoming gigs and a future recording.
