This is a convo me and my pal Jayson had a couple days ago and i think its worth putting up:

PunkFromTheUK: the world is inslaved and controlled by money

PunkFromTheUK: well more so capitalist america
PunkHagOiOi: yeah, capitalism people are slaves to it, with communism people control the money instead of being the moneys bitches
PunkHagOiOi: or something along that line
PunkFromTheUK: money doesnt so much have a big roll in the lifes of people under communism because everyone is equal so there are no classes to divide the people people work together to better everyone rather than in a capitalist society compete with each other trying to better themselves
PunkHagOiOi: yeah in this system its more of a need than a want, you feel scared without it and have to join the race and try to be the boss of another man, get ahead of eachother instead of getting ahead together and having others define success, instead of you do it
PunkHagOiOi: its silly, people are insecure little puppets, im all for the working class and if i could have a job id take it and im trying to get one the economys gone so fuckin far down
PunkFromTheUK: you know there is a class war going on right now with words and very little action its taking place in our minds and played down by the media as rebellious youth just trying to be different well people are in for one hell of a surprise when it spills over into the streets and takes on a revolutionary form when the lower classes take to arms and unite for a common goal then the upper class will get one hell of a surprise
PunkHagOiOi: yeah i think were all waiting for this revolution, everyones just waiting for the working class and poorer people to get sick of this shit and say "Well we aint takin it no more"
PunkHagOiOi: were all just waiting for someone to start it, we'll all stand for it and we all have our views and unite and take shit back, but were waiting for someone to say "ok, how bout now?"
PunkHagOiOi: real rebellion isnt sold in malls, its all politics its all on the inside, evolving , change, justice
PunkFromTheUK: yeah someone strong and with spirit needs to stadn up and lead the people the question is when will someone take the front
PunkHagOiOi: it can all be achieved,and i think were ready but someones gotta take the stand
PunkHagOiOi: i think soon actually, maybe soon maybe a few years down the road
theres no question it will happen its just someoen has to be brave enough and willing to sacrifice everything for change
PunkFromTheUK: we can talk all we want but nothing will change without action
PunkHagOiOi: exactly, everyones realizing this now at least hte punks the angry youth we all know that shit wont change unless we do something, the people who arent exactly on the same level are too scared most of em
PunkHagOiOi: they know they dont mean shit so they wont do anything about it another form of insecurity
PunkFromTheUK: more and more people are starting to see the problem and realize the only way to fix it is with action they are just to afraid to lead it themselves
PunkHagOiOi: yep
PunkFromTheUK: but the more people that realize this the closer we are to succeeding in bringing about a revolution we just need a strong leadership

PunkHagOiOi: things have gotten this far with protests and meetings, gatherings, websites, any political outlet, even bands, whatever it is, people will listen to it or ignore it

PunkHagOiOi: and everyone will get so fucking sick of being ignored and so tired of nothing changing, all get tired together, thats how things iwll happen
PunkHagOiOi: im not sure really, for the greater good if change would actually occur with me or whoevers death than yes, i think we'd get killed either way
PunkHagOiOi: when the time comes theres gonna be alot of death
PunkFromTheUK: we all die i'd rather die trying to make a difference
PunkHagOiOi: you can tel with how violent american society has gotten

PunkFromTheUK: you cant overthrow a government with words alone the government would use aggression and violence to keep you down so you must fight back the same sometimes its best to fight fire with fire
PunkHagOiOi: than we pretty much need weapons incase shit goes down

PunkHagOiOi: so set in theri ways and brainwashed by society that they wouldnt wanna rebuild it
PunkFromTheUK: some will some wont some will stand with us some will stand against us the workers the poor those who get fucked time and time again will stand for it
PunkHagOiOi: yup, the armys and shit would probably be against us
but if theres enough people, it would start a war
PunkHagOiOi: and if we ruled the majority than it would be time to overturn the government, thats what it means you have to slowly convince others thats how you get change, its a long slow process
PunkFromTheUK: battles bring freedom the lower classes and poor far out number any army
PunkHagOiOi: and who would be the allies for the united states? everyone fuckin hates america, get such a bad name for people who dont represent us at all
PunkFromTheUK: true according to most americans the only remaining communist threat is north korea well they are to blind to see the greatest threat is there own workers
PunkHagOiOi: everyones so fucking blindfolded people dont know shit
PunkFromTheUK: its time to show them the truth
PunkHagOiOi: now theres the inspiration it takes, lots of people are such fucking idiots and it pisses you off, theres the motivation
PunkHagOiOi: this might take a while, the first step is done, we have alot of people willing to stand up against it, but we need more and it cant just be the punks, someone once said you can scream revolution to the punks and they say "yeah yeah we know" you need other people to know though

PunkFromTheUK: you have the american communist party the working class would for the majority back it then you arm the poor

PunkHagOiOi: it would change the government for the better, it wuold be community, thats what anarchism is about
PunkFromTheUK: yes anarchists and communists have pretty much the same goal in mind just the anarchists arent as organized and dont have a real way of succeeding but team up witht them and then they're ready

HOW IS BEING A PUNK DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER CLIQUE? alright, well i think being a punk is different from other cliques because i dont think that were a specific group of people and i dont think well at least in the people of the scene ive met, you dont have to put on an act to be popular and even if you are the most productive your still the same as everyone else. And i dont think its a clique because almost anyone can do it it just requires someone who isnt as materialistic or as sensitive to what others are thinking, right now its trendya nd right now its getting exclusive..
AND THAT SAID WHERE DOES REBELION FIT INTO PUNK ROCK IF EVERYONE IS ALMOST THE SAME? i think back when it started it was more about rebellion, right now its about 26 years later, theres nothign to rebel against, marketing now a days is pro-"punk", as watered down as it is, its now cool to be "rebellious" which is pretty much bullshit, rebellion to me is about fighting for a cause not everyones going to approve of, or not caring what people thinka nd setting your own standards in life. Now kids think that to be punk you just have to dye your hair and piss your parents off, and its not abou that, its not about fashion, fashions a part of it ill admit that, but its not everything and just because you look the part doesnt mean shit. I dress it because i feel it shows devotiona nd ive always liked how it looked. It pisses me off when people say that just becuase your the outsider that means your punk, its bullshit just because you have the different opinion doesnt mean anything, i think the music you listen to makes a point, thus this lifestyle is shaped around music in the first place
AND DONT LABELS AND POLITCS( not government politics, but social politics) GET TIRING? i dont consider punk to be a label but a lifestyle, those who know their shit and actually support the scene know its not just some group of high school kids getting their kicks on the weekend. We have a point, its called change, as it takes time to evolve i dont think we've had a whole lot but were getting there i can feel it....I wont exclude you if you arent into the same music/lifestyle im into, but obviously like most people ill be more interested in you if we both have common ground. It gets tiring with all the newer kids coming in because its no longer rebellion for them to them its just another group, the same people who piss us off are invading our customs and just turning it into another fad. Now i havent been around for a long time, ive been into punk for about 4 years and just recently found the scene in my state, i find it accepting and refreshing as hell, i dont think ill ever tire of it. ill tire of elitism, but since everyones bastardizing us, how the fuck could you not be mad about it? punk wont ever be the media or hte majority, it wont be found in malls its something you experience yourself. As for politics, who could find sucha thing boring? politics are everything, i find it more entertaining than what other girls my age do such as hair makeup clothes and -shudders- boys (jk) If you dont have any views you are nobody and you wont be accounted for in the end.
