Our school offers a variety of classes through out the school year. Including Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Quran. The school also offers extra curricular class including Muslim scouts.

 

 

Achievements, Alhamdulillah!!

 

All of our student participate every year in the national standardized tests to ensure that the school’s and students academic performance is the level of the best schools. All of our students’ scores are higher than the National average. Students in the upper grades average in the 80’s and even higher for math and science. In the years before. Our students have achieves many awards in The Regional Science Fairs, The Illinois Math League and The Regional Spelling Bees, etc.

  Illinois State Scholars Named
 

 

 

Bader Almoshelli and Shakil Hafiz named Illinois State Scholars

 

The Illinois Student Assistant Commission (ISAC) has announced the names of this year’s students honored as Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois State Scholar Program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. The Commission is pleased to announce that 2 Islamic Foundation School students have been named Illinois State Scholars.

 

“These students should be extremely proud of their achievement. The Commission congratulates them and wishes them the best in their future endeavors,” proclaimed Larry Matejka, ISAC’s Executive Director.

 

Students ranking in the top ten percent of the state’s 135,600 high school graduating seniors have been named Illinois State Scholars. Rankings are based on a combination of ACT and SAT I test score results and class rank at the end of the sixth semester in high school. While the program does not provide monetary award, the designation as an Illinois State Scholar can be listed on applications for college admission and scholarships.

 

The students receiving the awards are Bader Almoshelli and Shakil Hafiz, seniors at Islamic Foundation School.

AP® SCHOLAR AWARDS for Islamic Foundation Students

 

Three students at Islamic Foundation School have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP Exams. Only about 13 percent of the more than 840,000 students in 13,680 schools who took AP Exams in May 2001 performed at a sufficiently high level to merit such recognition. At Islamic Foundation School 30% of Students who took AP exams have received the AP Scholars awards.

          Students take AP Exams in May after completing challenging college-level courses at their high schools. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the number of year-long courses and exams (or their equivalent semester-long courses and exams).

At  Islamic Foundation School:

One student qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The student is Sara Nourelddin.

Two students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Examinations, with grades of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are Shyema Azam and Aminah Bhatti.

          Most of the nation’s colleges and universities award credit, advanced placement, or both based on successful performance on the AP Exams. More than 1,400 institutions award a full year’s credit (sophomore standing) to students presenting a sufficient number of qualifying grades. There are 35 AP Exams offered in 19 subject areas, each consisting of multiple-choice and free-response (essay or problem-solving) questions except for the Studio Art exam which evaluates students' original artwork.
