Solid snake is a retired mercanary working under Colonel Cambell. His real name is Dave, and he is a clone of the Legendary Solier Big Boss. His age is unknown, but estimated to be around 50 in Metal Gear Solid, as that was the age of Big Boss when his clones were made.

His attitude is that of a super soldier, carrying no emotion into battle. Other than when Meryl was involved. He does not take fighting lightly, and is best at stealth action kills.
