Blade II

Blade II is about a man named Blade (hence the name of the movie) who fights vampires Rambo style, for no apparent reason. Delivered to its full potential by Wesley Snipes, all he does for two hours is go into raves and kill everything inside of them with a variety of weapons. I loved it, the special effects were amazing. The vampires don’t just crumple up and die, they explode into a flaming, screaming, carcass, then dissolve to dust. The only thing missing was a plot, but who needs one when you have Wesley Snipes fighting evil vampires? Come on people, be reasonable. The main difference between the sequel and Blade one is that in Blade II instead of just fighting vampires, he fights super-vampires who are nearly invincible. These super-vampires make for some overly gory fight scenes with gallons of fake blood. In one scene a super-vampire tears out the throat of a regular vampire with his teeth, other movies would just have a pathetic trickle of blood down the vampire’s neck, not this movie though. I’m not entirely sure, but I think what they did is take a hose filled with fake blood and squirt it at the wall on full blast. I think I speak for everyone when I say: “I would have had so much fun working on that movie.” I can picture one of the producers grabbing the blood hose and spraying everyone else. Then they all go home looking like they were in some cult that sacrifices goats by putting them in some giant blender. I think I would put in some vampire fangs, those freaky contacts, and soak myself in the fake blood, then stagger into a pre-school… Overall, I rate this movie 4 for vampires, violence, special effects, and clarity.
