Yes, yes, yes… we all know that Marlon Brando is now 80-some-odd-years old and rather on the portly side, but I never said that this tribute was for the men of my hey-day. Marlon Brando not only is a wonderful actor, but was a scrummy little beefcake back in the day, too. I have to thank my man Brian for turning me on to Mr. Brando. I thought he was super-cheesy cuz of his voice but man, was he hot in Streetcar.
I also must say that while he was awesome in Streetcar, The Godfather, Julius Caesar, and Free Money, I absolutely hated him in Last Tango In Paris. That was a totally crappy piece of crap, and I don't recommend anyone see it. First of all, most of it is in French (FROGS!) and there is gut-wrenching scene involving, of all things, butter. That French chick doesn't know how to shave and the movie just sucked. Underground classic, my pasty white arse!
So, if you must see Marlon Brando in a movie, I suggest Streetcar Named Desire. It is a classic and an awesome flick and Brando is finger-licking good.
