notes     volume one -i can still recall the taste of my tears- This is the first volume of the true Seimaden manga. Supposedly, there is a predecessor, Azel Seimaden, but I've never seen it and have not been able to find a translation for it, so I haven't read it either. This volume begins as Kukuru walks into town, and sees Hilda coming out of the bar where she works. A man accosts her, and Kukuru tries to stop him, but doesn't get far before Laures gets to the man. Gaguru enlists the help of some thugs to kidnap Hilda. Kukuru witnesses and tells Laures about the kidnapping, and Laures goes to get her, but not before Rod hears about her whereabouts. Laures kills Gaguru, Hilda is upset st his brutish behavior, and leaves by herself from his castle, where she meets Rod. Hilda's charcter gets a bit of expositon here. She meditates on not having her memories, and Rod and Laures. Tetei is introduced, pleading Laures to return to the demon world, but Laures is indifferent, and will not leave without Hilda. But Rod shows up and begins to fight Laures. Asubaru casts a safeguarding ki spell on Rod that is too large for Laures to break through, and Laures leaves for the demon world.     notes     volume two -echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears- This volume opens with Rod's dream of being told by Maruka he was the heir to the Sword of Azel in his childhood. Rod awakens, and all he can think about is finding Hilda, and so he decides to leave for her even though his wounds are not fully healed. It is revealed that Asubaru is Azaru's heretic, and cannot agree with Rod because of "Kaimei's teachings", and that Rabi is Rod's younger brother, and Maruka has some sort of special interest in Rabi. Laures returns to the demon world, where he is greeted by Teteiyusu, who refuses to believe that Laures is in love with Hilda, and later sets Zadei (a demon who was Laures's general but lost to him in a fight and shut away) free because of he believes that he will help him dispose of Hilda. Hilda decides to pay for Sherill's hospitalization by visiting the lord Berk, who has a fetish for beautiful things since he lost half of his face. Laures comes for Hilda, but Berk sets his eyes on him, too. While Tetei and Zadei are riding dragons to Berk's, Zadei becomes weak and drains power from Tetei. Tetei falls by Sherill, who mistakes him for an angel. After helping her recover some strength, he and Zadei make a deal with Berk to turn the castle into a demon castle, with demon ki.
