I had an idea to have a someone dressed all in white standing out in the middle of this lake. The photos came out well, but I think the amount of brown in the background mutes all the colors to a neutral shade. I wanted the white to stand out more. I think I will try this again next spring when there is a lot of green in the trees and the water level is higher to give the appearance of standing on water.
The most interesting thing I found in these pictures was the difficulty deciding which way was up and which was down. You can tell that the first one is right side up, while the second is the same image up-side down because of the shore line across the lake. I think I like the pictures up-side down better, because they give a floating feeling to the photo.
My model was so patient (thank you!). She asked what she should do for a pose and I told her "pretend you just heard your boyfriend died and you came out here to think. You are really depressed and are thinking about jumping in and ending it all." It's sad, but that was what I was going for.
My friends cute little niece, Grace. I love how these pictures capture the feeling of the happiness in being young. They were just random pictures that I took. I put them up because they both convey such a strong feelings.
