| In my junior year of high school (1997/98), I was involved in a two-year relationship with a guy named Eric. Tadd moved to Orlando from West Palm Beach at the beginning of that year and, in the spring semester, ended up in Eric's English class. Tadd became good friends with Eric and started hanging out with our group a lot. Ironically, he asked me if I would set him up with my best friend, Jessica, and I agreed. They dated for a month, but decided they worked better as friends than as a couple. About a month after Tadd and Jessica broke up, my relationship with Eric began deteriorating. Honestly, the thought of turning to Tadd hadn't crossed my mind (since he was my best friend's ex), but one particularly difficult and emotional night, I decided I'd go online and pour my heart out to the first person I saw on my buddy list. That person just happened to be Tadd. And I soon started seeing him in a completely different light! Of course, we couldn't act on our feelings for each other until I ended my relationship with Eric (which was done soon after) and made absolutely sure it was alright with Jessica (I must've asked her 40 times and she happily gave us her blessing). |
