The Evil box

Days of Liam's Life: The Evil Box

One day Andy was walking to Noel's house and noticed a brown box in Noel's yard. He walked over to it and looked inside. It was empty. He continued to walk to Noel's front door. He rung the door bell.

Noel answered: "Oh, hello Andy. How're you today?"

"I'm lovelly. And you?" Andy replied.

"Very good."

"What is that box doing in your yard?" Andy asked.

"Oh, I just bought a new sound system. The Beatles sound quite good on it."

"Could I have the box?" Andy asked.
"Well, yeah. I'm not gonna use it. Why do you want it?" Noel asked.

"I've just always have loved boxes. There's something about them I really like. And yours in paticular is very nice."

"Why thank you! I guess it is nice in a way."

"It's beautiful." Andy paused for a second looking at it.

"Well, I better go take it to my house." Andy said.

"Oh!. . .okay! Good-bye, you should come over sometime this week to listen to my new stereo."

"Yeah, yeah, okay." Andy replied, not really caring all he could think about was that box.

He walked home carrying the big box. On his way home, he saw Liam and Gertrude holding hands on a walk.

"Hello, Andy. Are taking your garbage out?" Liam said.

"Of course not! This is not garbage!" Andy yelled.

"Oh, sorry! What is it then?"

"It's an empty box. Duh!"

Liam and Gerturde just looked at each other with confused looks on their faces.

"Well, good-bye." Gertrude said. "Enjoy your . . .empty box."

"Thank you. I will." Andy said.

Andy finally made it home. All he wanted to do was sit in his box, all alone, just him and his box. He sat in it for a whole day.

The Next Day. . .

Andy's phone rang. It made him mad because he had to leave his beloved box, in all it's glory.

"What do you want?" Andy said into the phone.

"Andy, it's Noel. What have you been doing the past three days?" Noel asked, concerned.

"What do you think? I've been in my box." Andy replied.

"And is that what you want?"

"Of course it is. What else whould I want?"

"To be with your friends. You always used to love being with your friends. To be with me. Why haven't you come over to listen to my new stereo? I thought you would like that." Noel said sadly.

"Because I want to spend time with my box. Why would I care about your new stereo when I have a prefectly good box at my own house." Andy replied bluntly.

"I thought we were friends, Andy. It's too bad you feel that way."

"I'm sorry Noel. I've moved on to bigger things, you still have to catch up. There's a fork in my road and I've chose to turn, you still haven't come to your fork, yet. When you have, give me a ring. Good-bye, Noel." Andy said.

"Good-bye, Andy. It's been fun."

Andy hung up the phone and walked back to his box. After about two hours, there was a knock on his door. Andy walked up to answer it. He opened the door, it was Liam and he looked mad.

"Nobody makes my brother cry, nobody!" Liam yelled.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Have mercy, Liam. I only wanted to spend time with my box!" Andy cried.

"I think it's time we get rid of this box." Liam grabed the box and threw it into the fireplace and lit the fire.

"Nnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!" Andy cried.

Just then Noel walked in. "I think deep down our friendship is more important to you then some old box. Isn't it? Remember all those times we shared, Andy. Don't you remember the ice cream, all the times we got bored together, all the trips we took just to get gasoline for our cars?" Noel asked.

Andy looked at Noel with tears in his eyes. "Yes, I remember. Noel, I'm so sorry." Andy replied.

"You know, I used to have a box. . . Those things can rip peoples lives apart." Noel said.
