1.20.05: CRIMES OF THE CONSPIRACY IS BACK FROM THE DEAD....like a sluggish mummy who's risen again a few centuries later, but with more power and better breath. it's trent, xb.j.x, and ji now. tah's in olympia playing with the Silver Diamonds. we just played our first show in two years and it was amazing. the kids in minot sure do know how to make a band fell loved. people we hadn't seen at shows in over 2 years came out of the woodworks for the show and it was a great time. 13 songs and two broken mics later, the 3 of us agreed to bring this band back to life when we can. by WHEN WE CAN is because trent lives in minneapolis, where he plays in OFF WITH THEIR HEADS, and xb.j.x and ji live in minot. xb.j.x is in two bands (spiritliesbroken and selfemployedsavior) while ji is in assisted suicide and has a one man band called DEAD ANGEL. so, when we get a chance to get together every 2-3 months, we're going to be playing as many shows as we can and writing and hopefully recording more songs. trent, ji, and xb.j.x love this band alot and hope the people who supported us in our first few years will embrace it again like they had, and we'll see the reactions in march, when we play in minot and bismarck. till then, stay warm, curse this nation for making BUSH president, and stay out of trouble.

your's truly:
CRIMES OF THE CONSPIRACY
p.s. Pics from our minot show on dec. 30th, 2004 at the AMP are up now on the pic's page. mp3s from our first cd and our seven inch will be posted on the following sites in the next few days: hxcmp3.com, PureVolume, and Myspace.com. so download our music and be our friend on myspace and share yr thoughts, memories and fantasties with us on myspace...

1.13.04: our final cd of EVERYTHING we recorded that wasn't on our first cd will be available in limited supply this coming weekend (january 17th). after this weekend, copies will be available at budget music and video. there are gonna be 19 songs on the cd, which spans 4 different recording sessions and includes the songs from the seven inch, the songs that were supposed to be our second full length cd, and songs that didn't make it on to our first cd. this is what the cover is gonna look like:

our friend brady drew the cover a year or so ago on a post it note in like five minutes and we promised him we'd use it, so i hope you guys enjoy it.

well..since this is good bye, both trent and i wanna say "THANK YOU" a million times over to everyone who supported our band. not sure what tah would say but she'd probably say the same....so here's what we're all up to now:

trent: he's living in minneapolis, minnesota with his girlfriend heather and their daughter, lyricariah. he's playing bass in a band called Twich Stutter Kill . he describes it as a mix of the last batch of songs crimes was writing, but with a mix of botch and fugazi. they're looking for a guitarist or two and hope to be playing shows soon.

xb.j.x: he's still in minot, playing drums for Spirit Lies Broken and Self Employed Savior. SLB has been around since january 2003 and is a five piece hardcore band that sounds like a mix between old Poison The Well, Every Time I Die, Darkest Hour, Shai Hulud, and Refused. they've got a seven song demo, and a split cd with Systems Victims available. they're recording a cd e.p. in the next month. Self Employed Savior is a hardcore punk band that sounds like a mix between Damage Deposit, Decrepit, and old Hatebreed, with a touch of Majority Rule thrown in. they've got a four song demo available and playing shows around the state.

tah: she's living in olympia and is playing drums in a band called West Eyes East. she describes the band as sort of like Enemymine and Godheadsilo, as it's just bass and drums but heavy and loud as hell...she takes pride in the fact that each time they play around olympia, they clear the room cuz they're sooooooooooooooo damn loud. they should have a recording available sometime soon, hopefully.

well....thanx for caring about our band. this is it. good-bye and good luck.
.CRIMES OF THE CONSPIRACY.

6/5/03: well..here it is: WE'RE BREAKING UP. COTC is no more as of the end of this summer. Trent's moving to minneapolis with his girlfriend and his daughter. they mean the world to him and i wish him well in the twin cities. we're going to try and play two final shows. one in bismarck and one in minot, in late june. tom from toxic shock syndrome is gonna play drums for us for these two final shows and thats it. we're gonna put out a cd-r of our final recording and other songs that never were 'released'. if you'd like to download the mp3s of the songs that are gonna be on the final cd, heres the links:

it's a sad fact that this band is breaking up, cuz we've been through a lot and had a lot of hopes and goals, a lot of which never seemed to be accomplished. but we did do some things we always wanted to do: tour (a week and a half in january, 2002), put out a seven inch (it's been available since april 15th..so come to a show in minot or one where xb.j.x's new band is playing and i'll have copies), put out a few d.i.y. cd-r's of some amazing songs that we put our hearts and souls into. we've made a ton of friends and a few enemies, so thank all of you for your support or hatred. it meant a lot to us and we can never repay you for it. from the bottoms of our hearts, THANK YOU!. this is where we down our different ways..... -xb.j.x and trent

3/13/03: ok...updating on a few topics finally.
1) back in late january, trent and myself, xb.j.x, took fate by the ears and crushed it's skull so we could make a recording of all the songs we had written with Tah before she quit the band. Seven songs were recorded with our friend Ryan Veitch at That One Place.
the new songs recorded are:
"this bullet has yr name written on it"
"the waking moment"
"burning with the street lights"
"my superpowers enable me to jump thru phones"
"young and modern"
we also re-recorded "last days of winter" and finally recorded "pushin ten." Some of the songs may appear in the next few weeks on mp3.com. we're going to be sending the recording to pop riot records and a few others here in the states, and to Friendly Cow Records, in germany, who has our song 'this is not a piercing' on their new compilation cd, "ten years of losing and fuckin' up." copies of the comp are available thru us for $7. there are 28 songs by 28 bands from the u.s., europe, and south america. we'll let you know what happens to the recording...it'll be released some where so how...
2) we're STILL fuckin waiting for our seven inch to be delivered to us. from what max and gabe at pop riot said a few weeks ago was that the records are done and the covers were being printed. they told us in the same e-mail that the record should be here by the 10th of March...but hey...surprise surprise...it's now March 13th...and we STILL don't have the fuckin records. those songs are old now but still great, but it's getting really frustrating to have to continously have our hopes kicked in the face everytime we're told we'll have our records and not get them. we're sorry to all of those who have waited for this record to come out. you all know the songs if you've downloaded the songs of mp3.com or seen us live...so..we're super sorry and we'll be posting the news that we have the records as soon as they arrive, which will be a surprise to us...
so, till next time, sign our guestbook and let us know your feelings on all of this shit....
-xb.j.x
