Wondering how the name 1000 Lb. LARRY came to be?
Well, it's a long story, but here's the condensed version!
Back in 1998-1999, when the guys had just started the band, their name was HIGH FUZED. They played a few shows under that name, but were seeking a new name. Then, they met a guy named Larry, he was a cool guy, he wasn't a thousand pounds though. They took his name, and added 100 Lb. to it, so 100 Lb. LARRY was their name. At the Teen Expo that year, 100 Lb. LARRY was slated to play, but on all of the flyers that were sent out and all the posters that were put up, there was a typo. All of the the advertisements read "1000 Lb. LARRY" . They eventually decided to stick with the new name, and that's the story of the name 1000 Lb. LARRY.
