It's been a long time. A long, wonderful time. We were a band for two and a half years, forming in January of 1999 and fading away into the summer months of this year. It's hard to put to words all that we went through. I have memories captured in early recordings, memorable pictures, and crumpled flyers, all hidden in a shoebox in my room. I have spent many hours looking back upon times we spent, shows we played, and all the practices that two and a half years will show a band. Every time I listen to our successfully recorded and released E.P. CD, or stare at a photograph taken by Dan McCabe at one of our Friday night practices at Evan's, I remember what a great band we were and what wonderful friends we became. Nate and Evan, I wish you luck in your new band, and I hope that mine becomes half as successful as the Washouts ever were.
