The Fuer name has passed on from mother to daughter since Arthurian times. The family line has a strong link to the forces of Magic, Fire Magic to be more specific. Fuer women are able to channel fire Magic innately. Some have specialized in offensive fire magics; others, like Il Fyr, have used the fires in a more defensive manner. This defensive fire magic is what she taught her children, Wendy and Gwen. Wendy learned quickly how to channel the forces of fire for her defense, while Gwen had trouble bringing her magic under control enough to use the flames for any kind of defense.
Gwyn's power over fire and her knowledge of healing spells led to her being chosen to accompany Omega Team on their venture to the Rikti homeworld. She remains M.I.A. but might show up in the Rikti Crash Site :)
