The Heart Grows Fonder: A sequel to Hit and Run!
---
“Happy Birthday,” Ryuichi said, with a fond, loving smile. “You’re finally eighteen!”
Tatsuha beamed, looking at Ryuichi, who was standing in the doorway, holding a small cake that had a candle in it.
Two years ago, the two started to date, though to Tatsuha, it felt like a much shorter time then that. That was because Ryuichi had to leave for America for a year and a half long video shoot. Tatsuha missed his lover dearly, but tried to stay satisfied with what contact he could get with him. Sadly, it was only by phone and email, but… if that was all Tatsuha could have, he’d take it.
And now, on his birthday of all days, Ryuichi was back. Tatsuha jumped up, running over to Ryuichi. Ryuichi barely had enough time to sit the cake down, before Tatsuha jumped into his arms, crying.
They’d only had a half a year together in the two years they’d started to date and Tatsuha was immensely happy to see the sweet face of his lover again.
Tatsuha blushed, thinking about how the two hadn’t even ever taken their relationship any further then making out. It always seemed that they were interrupted before they could even think about going further. Mostly, it was Tatsuha’s sarcastic brother and his lover that managed to get in their way. Those two seemed to have the worst timing in the whole wide world.
“Ryu…” Tatsuha buried his head against Ryuichi’s chest, clutching his shirt in his hands. “You’ve come back.”
In his darkest moments, Tatsuha always harbored the horrible thought that Ryuichi would never return. That he’d run off with some hot bleach blond from the movie industry. It was no secret that Ryuichi had been into blond women in his younger years, though now Tatsuha knew he’d never went all the way with any girl, let alone a guy.
Ryuichi just led a busy life, and most times he was in the persona of a childish man, carrying around a stuffed animal.
Tatsuha had glimpsed Ryuichi being his much more grown up self. That had been long ago when they’d almost, for the first time, went all the way. Ryuichi had suddenly taken charge, completely surprising Tatsuha, who always felt in that situation, he’d be in charge.
Since then, Tatsuha only witnessed that side of Ryuichi when he was on stage or around fans.
Ryuichi squeezed Tatsuha close to his body, rubbing his back, “of course, I’m back.” Ryuichi smiled at Tatsuha, sending a pleasurable shiver throughout the teen’s body.
“The movie shoot ended a week ago, and ta da! Here I am.” Ryuichi kissed Tatsuha on the forehead. “I’m glad I got back in time for your birthday.”
Tatsuha felt his heart melt, and his body go to mush, as Ryuichi gazed upon him with such caring, loving and adoring eyes.
He’d never felt so loved in his whole, entire life.
Tatsuha had expected his eighteenth birthday to be just as lonely as his seventeenth birthday had been. Sure, Shuichi had managed to get Yuki to visit him and they’d given him some presents, but still, Tatsuha felt so lonely with out his Ryuichi around.
Though, he was thrilled beyond words when Ryuichi called him. He didn’t even care that Ryuichi forgot about the time difference and called him at four in the morning. He’d just been so happy to hear his voice.
“I love you, Ryuichi.” Tatsuha blushed, kissing him on the lips. How long had it been since he’d last done that?
Smiling into the kiss, Ryuichi kissed Tatsuha back.
After they’d pulled away, Ryuichi brushed some dark hair from Tatsuha’s eyes. “I love you, too. Come on, time to eat cake.”
Tatsuha giggled, taking the cake handed to him.
“Blow out the candles and make a wish.”
Tatsuha took a deep breath, then blew, making the first wish that came to mind.
I wish Ryuichi and I are together for a million birthdays to come.
“Did you make a wish?”
Tatsuha blushed, thinking of his girly, mushy wish. “Yeah.”
“What?”
Tatsuha shook his head, “Ah, ah, ah, I can’t tell you. Don’t you know if you tell, the wish won’t come true?”
Ryuichi thought about that for a moment, then smiled. “Oh, right. Whoops, I forgot about that.” The thirty three year old man grinned.
Tatsuha sighed happily, going to the counter to get a knife.
He cut the small cake into two pieces and gave one slice to Ryuichi.
“Mmm…” Tatsuha’s eyes rolled into the back of his head, as a pleasing moan left his body. “This is good.”
It had to be the best cake he’d ever tasted. But that was probably because the cake came from his lover.
Tatsuha poked open one dark eye, glancing at Ryuichi as the movie star and x-singer ate his cake. His eyes were closed, thoroughly enjoying the sweetness he was putting in his mouth. Tatsuha smiled, fondly, watching as Ryuichi licked his fingers like a little kid would, after the cake was gone.
It was almost too much. So adorable. Tatsuha was controlling himself as best he could. In all honesty, he wanted nothing more then to attack Ryuichi, kissing him and whispering sweet nothings into his ear, until they were both out of breath, gasping and panting for more.
But, no, he shouldn’t. After all, Ryuichi had just gotten back and was clearly tired from his long flight. That was so obvious in his eyes. Tatsuha could see how they were slightly drooped, and his lovely had bags under his eyes, clearly stating that he hadn’t had any decent sleep in a long while.
And as weird as it sounded, Kumagoro who was sitting in Ryuichi’s pocket, seemed tired as well.
Maybe I’m the tired one. Tatsuha shook his head, clearing his ridiculous thoughts. He knew the bunny wasn’t real, even though the sometimes childish Ryuichi treated him as if he was.
“Ryu…” Tatsuha walked over to Ryuichi, pulling the star into his arms, “you’re exhausted. Let me get my bed ready for you.”
Ryuichi slightly colored, but nodded his head. “Yeah… Tatsuha, will you tuck me in?” Ryuichi asked with a childish, but very sexy grin.
Tatsuha’s breath caught in his throat, as he nodded, “of course.”
Ryuichi let out a squeak, as Tatsuha picked up the older man, bridal style. “You’re too tied to walk.” Tatsuha stated, explaining his actions.
And plus, I just really wanted to have a reason to grope you… Tatsuha hid a smirk, kissing Ryuichi behind the ear. Ryuichi giggled, letting out a tired yawn.
“I’m… glad… back…” Ryuichi mumbled, words barely coherent, but Tatsuha understood them. He looked down at Ryuichi, seeing that he’d fallen asleep.
“So am I,” The dark haired teen whispered. “I love you, Ryuichi.”
Tatsuha jumped, blushing when Ryuichi mumbled back: “I love you, too.”
He was still awake! God, he scared me.
“Ryuichi?” Tatsuha called. This time he got no answer. Ryuichi was asleep for real, this time.
A smile adorning his handsome face, Tatsuha carried his lover to his bedroom.
A/N Please review. Hope the sequel is liked. Sorry it took a while to get it out.
