The Show Must Go On

"Phooey, phooey, and double phooey," Selphie muttered, tears in her eyes. I really hope they make up, she thought watching as Squall ran off. Maybe I should of left them alone.

The two blond elves, walked in the room, "is it safe to come in," Zell asked, rubbing a sore spot where one of the scrips had hit him?

Glancing at the two teens, she nodded, biting her lip, "yeah, sorry about that, Zell."

Zell smiled at Selphie, seeing the tears in her eyes, "s’ok, Selphie."

"So what was that all about," Seifer asked, pulling his tights, which were trying to fall down, up?

Even though she was feeling low, Selphie could not help but start to giggle, and soon she was laughing loud and long.

"I don’t get it," Zell said confused.

"Okay, what in the world is making you laugh like that!" Seifer yelled, feeling annoyed by the short brown haired girl?

"He ha, w..well it, ha ha ah, have you guys really looked in the haha, heehe," she bent over, gasping for breath, "mirror, hehe. Oh, geez, that felt good."

"Why, you little..." Seifer started to yell, but looking at Zell he couldn’t help but chuckle. "Okay so maybe you have a point."

Zell said nothing, he was just standing there with a slightly embarrassed face. But as soon as Seifer started to chuckle, he started to snort.

"Oh, that’s so cute, Zelly poo snorts when he laughs," Seifer teased.

"Ah Shudup," Zell grumbled, blushing.

"Okay, now back to my earlier question, what was that all about," Seifer demanded to know?

"Yeah," Zell said, also wanting to know.

Is it my place to tell them that Irvine is gay and in like with Squall, maybe love? Well it should be plain to see, I mean they saw the kiss, and the yelling and tears, Selphie thought, sighing. "Um take a wild guess." They just glared at her, giving her a ‘just tell us’ look.

"Fine, I tell, but this better stay in this room," Selphie said, eyeing the two blonds.

"Sure," Zell said.

"Fine, now tell us," Seifer said, feeling very annoyed and very uncomfortable. It was the tights, they were now, riding up. And he had a big wedgie.

"Okay, I knew Irvine had feelings for Squall, so when I was put in charge of the play I decided to cast Squall as Santa. It was no easy task I tell you. I had to beg and beg. There were fake tears involved. Being the ‘sweetheart’ he is he said he’d do it, if I would just shut up," she told them not seeming to care that Squall only said yes because he was tired of hearing her whin.

"Then I got Irvine to play missus claus. At first he said no, but when he learned that Squall was Santa he said yes. Rinoa wrote the play, and I added a few chose scenes. Mainly the kissing scenes."

"But you all would know most of this, if you were paying attention," Selphie snapped.

"Oh, sorry, we were too busy laughing," Zell said. "So Irvine’s into guys, I never would of guessed it with his rep."

"And correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you two a couple?" Seifer asked.

Selphie smiled, "no it was all a scam to make people think we were normal, at least what they think is normal. Were just good friends. I’ve know all along that he likes guys."

"And you’re a lezzy?" Zell asked.

"Well if you want to call it that." Selphie, replied blushing. "The correct term is Lesbian, and I’m really bi."

"So I still have a chance," Zell teased?

"Well no, sorry, I’m seeing someone."

"Oh, Rinoa."

Selphie made a face, "eww, no, someone else," she saw their curious looks, "no I wont tell you who, until I talk with them. She’s hasn’t came out yet, so I’m not sure how’d she act if I told people."

"Not Rinoa, but you looked so happy when you said her name," Zell said confused.

"I wasn’t thinking of her when I looked happy, for some reason my thoughts were on my girlfriend," Selphie giggled, "wow I said it. I have a girlfriend." Looking serious, she looked at the boys. "Now you better keep your mouths shut about this."

Both boys agreed.

Now where did that cowboy go, Squall wondered as he searched everywhere for the boy?

Well he was in a girl get up and in make up, so I bet he went to his room to change.

Hoping he was right Squall ran down the dorm hallway, til he came to the cowboy’s room.

What am I doing, I’m about tell Irvine that I might have feelings for him too? But do I? All I know is I’m not mad at him, and I liked it when he kissed me. Oh and I felt very upset at seeing him so hurt. What will I tell him? "Oh hey Irvine, I might like you too, but I’m not sure. Wanna kiss?"

No that’s not right.

Coming out of his thoughts, Squall took a deep breath and knocked on the cowboy’s door.

Hearing a scuffle and a big bang coming from the other side of the door, Squall wondered what was going on.

"Ouch, dang it, stupid chair," Squall heard Irvine yell. Then he heard a another bang. He was guessing Irvine had kicked the chair in anger. "Ouch! Coming," Irvine yelled.

A very flushed, Irvine answered the door, he face was really red, from scrubbing the make-up off, Squall guessed.

Irvine’s mouth made a ‘o’ of surprise at seeing Squall there. That same fear came back to his eyes. "Oh, um Squall, I’m sorry, Selphie said...please don’t hit me."

"Hit you," Squall said confused.

"Cause your mad at me, what I did was really wrong...I’m sorry."

Irvine’s eyes were cast down so he did not see the small smile that was on Squall’s lips, "I’d never hit you, Irvine. And it’s not your fault, you thought I knew."

Irvine gasped and looked up, seeing Squall’s smile, "so your not mad at me?"

"I should be, but for some reason I’m not. I’m very confused right now Irvine. I’ve never really had feelings for anyone, so I’m not really sure what this is, I’m feeling," Squall said, surprised at how open he was being.

"But what about Rinoa... you two... I thought."

"I don’t feel anything for her."

"Oh."

"But you feel..."

"Yeah, I feel something, for you. I never realized it till now," Squall blushed, looking away. "I’m not exactly sure what it is I feel though," he muttered.

Irvine smiled, the fear in his eyes gone, "that’s okay. I’m thankful that you feel anything. I’ve got time. So take your time in deciding how you really feel about me."

Squall smiled, "okay thanks."

"Sure, no prob, you want to come in," Irvine asked?

"Okay," Squall answered, going in Irvine’s room. He laughed when he saw the overturned chair, "so you did fall over the chair?"

Blushing Irvine went to pick up the chair, "yeah. I’m clumsy."

Both boys started to laugh, feeling a little bit better.
