The Fayth's Idea

A/N I’ve said this was AU, right? The fayth of the aeons survived somehow when Yuna sent them. They now reside in the farplane.

It was a sad, cold night for everyone as they stood around the grave of someone they’d only known for a few days.

Gippal was openly crying on Baralai’s shoulder. The silver haired youth, hugged the young al behd closer to him, sniffling, tears spilling down his cheeks.

For once Rikku was quiet, crying into her hands. She hated death, and it didn’t matter who had died, she’d still be sad. And this time it had been someone who could of became close to her friend, Gippal. Gippal’s grandmother, Malika.

Yuna glanced over at Rikku, tears also in her eyes. She hated to see Rikku look this way. Taking a deep breath, Yuna made her way over to Rikku, taking the small al behd in her arms. Rikku stiffened up at first, but soon relaxed in the comfort of Yuna’s arms.

Wakka, Lulu and Paine weren’t crying, but they felt sorrowful. Wakka was frowning, his eyes red. Lulu stood next to him, one arm around the redhead, the other holding Luna. She had a pained pinched look on her face. She hated to see people she cared about in this state. She glanced over at Rikku and Yuna and noted how close they looked. She shook her head, clearing her thoughts, but the same thoughts came back. They almost look like a couple.

Paine stood to the side, watching as everyone either cried or frowned in sadness. She herself felt very upset. Yes, the emotionless Paine felt upset. Gippal who was a good friend, was in so much pain. She looked over at him, and faintly smiled, he’s really lucky he has Baralai. They care for each other so much.

The priest ended his sermon, and sadly smiled. “Lady Yuna, if you will.” Yuna nodded, and went to preform the sending. She was no longer expected to do this, but she did it anyway. Everyone watched as Yuna did her sad dance and the pyreflies circled her body, freeing Malika’s soul, so she could go to the farplane.

When Yuna finished, everyone quietly left Gippal to be alone with Malika’s grave. Baralai went to leave as well, but Gippal gripped his arm, “please stay,” he whispered.

Nodding Baralai waited with Gippal as he said goodbye to his grandmother.

Over in the farplane, the fayth of Shiva frowned, seeing the sadness on Besaid. She looked to the other fayth and they silently conversed about something.

“So,” Shiva asked, “do you all agree? We’ve been discussing this for nearly three years, and I think we’ve worked out a way to do it.”

The fayth of Ifrit nodded, “it’s a good idea Shiva. Of course all of your idea’s are usually good.”

Shiva smiled, “oh, you flatter me, Ifrit.” Ifrit, who was now in the form of an aging man, smiled.

“I try.” He looked at the other, “well?”

A small boy about the age of ten smiled, “yes! Let’s do it!”

“Geez Leviathan, you’re hyper.” Shiva laughed.

Leviathan pouted, “I just want to see them happy! They deserve it.”

Shiva nodded, her long blue hair flowing in the wind, “I agree. It is my plan after all.”

Soon everyone else agreed to Shiva’s plan. The former aeons stood in a circle, chanting a strange language. In matters of seconds, a young teen appeared in front of them.

Opening his blue eyes, the blond stared at the people in front of him in confusion. “Huh,” he muttered, before fainting into Bahamut’s arms.

Bahamut cackled, placing the boy on the ground. Shiva rolled her eyes, “you have a weird sense of humor, Bahamut.”

Leviathan looked down at the passed out boy, “um will he be okay,” he asked in worry?”

Shiva nodded, “of course, this is a great big shock to his body, that’s all.”

Lulu frowned. She had been noticing a few things over the last few days. Rikku and Yuna have seemed to havegot really close. Closer then they were on Yuna’s pilgrimage. I think they like each other. Lulu’s frown grew. But why haven’t they been open about their feelings...oh yeah! Duh, Lulu, they’re cousins.

Lulu jumped up, seeming to remember something important. “I’ve got to tell her!” She ran out of her hut, thankful that she was no longer keeping an eye on Luna. Her parents had came topick her up earlier.

She speed to Yuna’s hut, going in without knocking. Yuna and Rikku looked up at the panting black mage in surprise.

“Lulu,” Yuna said in concern, “what’s the matter?” She stood up and went to Lulu’s side, directing her to the couch. “Sit down. I’ll get you some water.”

Lulu nodded, and watched as Yuna made her some ice water. Taking the cup from Yuna, she smiled, “thanks I’ve let myself go, huh.”

Yuna giggled, “a little. Now why in the name ofSpira did you burst into my hut?”

“Well there’s been something making me feel guilty. I’ve never told you, because I didn’t know how you’d handle it. But I have to tell you now.”

Yuna raised her eyebrow. “And that would be?”

“Um, well you see...I overheard Sir Auron talking about your dad.” She bit her lip, wondering if she should go on. “It was right before Tidus and Auron was sent. They were talking, and he told Tidus your mom, you know Rikku’s aunt, wasn’t your true mother.”

Yuna and Rikku was shocked, “what?” Yuna glanced at Rikku and saw that the girl was silently crying. Was it tears of happiness? Because now it wouldn’t be totally wrong for them to be together.

Lulu nodded, “yeah. I’m sorry for not telling you. But it was a really sad time, everyone was so sad, because Tidus and Auron were gone. And then it just sort of fled my mind.”

“Do you know more? Like who my mother was?”

Lulu shook her head no, “Auron said, that Braska had a wife, and she gave birth to you. Then a few years later she died. Sin. That was when he met and fell in love with the women you grew up to know as your mother.” That was all that Lulu had overheard.

“Oh!” Yuna gave Lulu a questioning look, “why did it all of a sudden come back to you?”

Lulu gave Yuna and Rikku an embarrassed look, “I sensed...well to be truthful...I uh...figured out you two had feelings for each other. And were having a hard time about them because you were related. Then all of a sudden those memories came back to me.”

Both Rikku and Yuna were blood red. “Y...you did,” Rikku whispered?

Lulu nodded, “yes, and now you know that you two being together isn’t wrong.”

“But were still both girls,” Yuna pointed out.

Lulu snorted, “so. Baralai and Gippal are both guys. Do you think it’s wrong for them to be together?”

“I...uh,” Yuna shook her head, “of course not.”

“They’re so right for each other,” Rikku added.

“So then why can’t you two be right for each other?” Lulu asked.

Yuna shyly looked at Rikku, “she’s right. Now that I know were not really related, I don’t think my dad would of cared about us being together.”

Rikku smiled, “I don’t think Cid will care either. Brother on the other hand,” she giggled, “he’ll be devastated.”

“He’ll have to get over it, won’t he.” Yuna smiled. Rikku nodded. Both girls turned to Lulu and glomped her.

“Thanks Lulu,” they both said.

“Yeah, no problem, now please release me. Breathing is becoming a problem.”

Rikku giggled, and Yuna smiled, but both let go of Lulu.

“Now we’ve got to find you someone, Lulu,” Rikku smirked. “How about Wakka?”

“Ahh, no!” Lulu put her hands up, shaking them. “No thank you. Wakka is like a brother. And even if he wasn’t I don’t think he’d ever be interested.” It seemed Lulu knew a little bit more about Wakka then the others did.

“Oh, well then is there someone you’re interested in?” Yuna asked.

“Well...I’m not sure.”

“Ha, that’s defiantly a yes. Who is it? It has to be someone on the island.” Rikku grinned. The island wasn’t that big, and there were only a few others in Lulu’s age range.

“Ha, like I’d tell you, Rikku. The whole of Spira would know by tomorrow.” Lulu left a pouting Rikku, and a smiling Yuna, andwalked over to Wakka’s hut, going in without knocking.

“Hey, Wakka,” Lulu grinned. “Wait till I tell you the news.”
