Chapter 5
In this fic Wakka and Lulu are not a couple and they never had a baby, there just best friends.
“We’ll be landing in Besaid in 5 min, all passengers getting off, please be ready,” a voice over on the loud speaker said, repeating the message in Al Behd.
Baralai blushed, noticing the intense stare Gippal was giving him, “what, something wrong?”
Gippal laughed, shaking his head no, “I like looking at your face,” he said turning red. (You're very beautiful)
Baralai blushed, “oh, what was that last part?’
Paine smirked. “He said you were beautiful.”
“Paine!” Gippal shouted, covering his face in embarrassment. “I forgot you knew a little Al Behd.
“Well, duh, you’re the one who taught me.” Paine said smirking again.
Baralai had turned bright red at hearing all of this, “y..you said that,” he said, shyly looking Gippal in the eye?
“Uh, um yeah, except there was a ‘very’ in there.” Gippal said, looking back at Baralai, then to Paine, “Oh, just you wait Paine. I’ll tell your secret to everyone.”
Paine went white, “you wouldn’t dare?”
“Well maybe I’ll only tell one certain person,” Gippal laughed, running away as Paine started to chase him.
Baralai had tears in his eyes from laughing hard at the friends friendly banters, “hey, Paine, Gippal, come back. Were here,” he yelled, looking out a window, seeing Besaid.
Paine came back in the room, pulling Gippal along. She was mock choking him, holding his head under her arm. “Okay, okay, Paine I won’t tell,” Gippal shouted out.
“Good,” Paine said letting Gippal go.
“Today,” Gippal laughed, running and hiding behind Baralai.
Paine was blushing, and her eyes were wide, believing what Gippal said. “Don’t, (Please, Gippal, I’ll tell, when I’m ready),” she said, a pleading sound in her voice.
Peeking out from behind Baralai, Gippal smiled, “(Iwas never going to tell, I wouldn’t do that to you,)” he told her.
Feeling left out, Baralai, pouted. Gippal looked at him and gulped, dang, he looks so cute when he does that. “She asked me not to tell. I told her Iwas never going to,” Gippal told the pouting Baralai.
“Oh, come on guys, we’ve stopped moving.”
Sure enough, Baralai was right, so the three, made their way down the ramp, and onto the path leading to Besaid.
Wakka stretched as he walked out of Lulu’s hut, getting ready to go back to his, when he saw three familiar people enter Besaid. “Hey, good to see you all, ya,” he said walking up to Paine, Baralai and Gippal.
“Hi,” all three said together.
“So ya all here to visit little ol me,” Wakka asked, running his hand through his bright red hair?
“Ha ha, yeah right,” Gippal teased.
“Gippal,” Baralai, laughed, poking him in the side. “Don’t listen to Gippal. Were here to see the old gang. You included.”
“Lulu also,” Paine said, her cheeks, taking on a slightly red tent.
“Well, Lu’s resting. And I think Rikku and Yuna are in Yuna’s hut. I saw them go in there a few hours ago.”
“Okay, well then lets go visit Rikku and Yuna,” Baralai said, talking Gippal’s hand and dragging him toward Yuna’s hut.
Wakka raised his eyebrows at seeing Baralai taking Gippal’s hand.
Paine smirked at Wakka, and followed the two boys.
Hmm, I always thought Baralai and Paine had a thing for each other, hehe, guess I was wrong, but I could be reading into this too much, Wakka thought as he followed Paine.
Hearing a knock, on her door, Yuna looked up from a book she was reading. She looked over at the quiet Rikku, and bit her lip in worry. The girl had been very quiet ever since she came out from her shower.
“Coming,” she called out, going to the door.
Opening the door she smiled when she saw who it was, “Paine! Baralai, Gippal,” she grabbed the three in a big hug. Looking behind them she saw Wakka. “Oh hey, Wakka.”
“It’s nice to see you too, Yuna,” Baralai said, hugging the girl back, even though they did not quite know each other that well.
“Yeah, same here,” Gippal said, patting her on the back.
“It is good to see you. But could you let up your grip a little,” Paine asked, feeling her breath being squeezed out of her?
“Oh, sorry,” Yuna said letting go, and standing back so the four could come in.
When they got in the room, she gave Wakka quick hug. “Hi Wakkie,” she said.
“Hey, Yuna,” Wakka said hugging his little sister back. Well not his real sister. Him, Lulu and Yuna all were so close they felt like they were related.
Gippal walked pass Yuna and noticed Rikku, who had not yet said hello to anyone. He frowned noticing she did not seem like herself. Confused he looked at Yuna, “what’s wrong with Rikku?
Yuna frowned and looked at Rikku, “um, she’s...she’s...”
Rikku looked up and smiled faintly at the visitors, “hi guys. I guess I’m not feeling well.”
“Oh, that’s too bad,” Gippal said, walking up to Rikku and pulling his young Al Behd friend in a hug. (Missed you,) he whispered.
Rikku hugged Gippal back and smiled. (Missed you too.)
Paine, walked up to the hugging Al Behds, “Hey don’t hog,” she joked, giving Rikku a hug.
Rikku giggled and hugged Paine back. “There’s enough of me to go around.” As if to prove her point, she let go of Paine and went and hugged Baralai, who she barely knew. And then she hugged Wakka.
“Everybody gets Rikku hugs.”
“Don’t forget Yuna,” Wakka joked, not noticing when both girls went red at his comment.
“Welllll, okay,” Rikku said giving her cousin a quick hug. Rikku seemed to come out of her depression with everyone else around, and for that Yuna was grateful.
“Let’s go see if Lu’s up yet,” Wakka suggested, after everyone visited for a while.
Everyone agreed and left Yuna’s hut and headed for Lulu’s hut.
Lulu was just waking up from her nap, when she heard a loud knock at her door. “Hmm,” she mumbled, stretching her arms, and yawning, “wonder who that is.”
Getting up she made sure her dress had not fell below her brest, as it sometimes did when she napped in it. Satisfied that she was decently covered, she walked to her door.
She got a big surprise when she opened the door, smiling brightly she motioned for everyone to come in. “What a surprise,” she exclaimed, Hugging, Yuna then Rikku. She smiled at Paine, Baralai and Gippal, having only met them a few times.
“Hi, Lu, look who I found wondering around. Thought you’d want to see them,” Wakka said, putting his large hand on Lulu’s shoulder.
“Of course! Seeing that you’re all here, I’m guessing everything went okay.”
“Yup, Yuna defeated Vegnagun,” Gippal told Lulu.
“Hey, I wasn’t the only one that beat it,” she exclaimed, “Rikku, and Paine helped. And you and Baralai helped. And even Leblanc and her goons helped, a little.”
“And don’t forget Nooji Wooji,” Rikku spoke, giggling at Leblanc’s pet name for Nooj.
“Oh, yeah and Nooj.”
“So Shyen and Lenne are at peace now,” Lulu asked?
“Yup,” Piped Rikku, smiling, remembering how happy the two looked when their ghosts reunited.
“Good, so no one was hurt to much,” Wakka asked.
“Well no one but Brother,” Rikku said rolling her eyes, “he was so happy to see Yuna come back alive, that he tripped over his own feet, hitting his head. (Idiot), Rikku muttered.
Everyone laughed remembering when that happened, Wakka and Lulu laughed to, being able to picture Brother doing something like that.
“Haha, he really has a thing for you Yuna, ya,” Wakka said laughing.
“Um, yeah,” Yuna said, laughing. Rikku noticed that her laugh was fake sounding.
“Well enough of that...Lets celebrate!” Rikku yelled.
“Celebrate,” Lulu smiled.
“Well yeah, you have some beer and celebrating things, don’t ya,” Rikku asked smiling?
“Tisk, tisk, Rikku, your still underage, you know. So is Yuna and Paine,” Lulu said, going to her fridge and taking some beer, and other drinks and snacks out.
Sticking her tongue at Lulu, Rikku grabbed a beer, “so, you going to turn us in?”
Lulu laughed, “guess not, but don’t drink too much.”
Everyone got a drink of their chose, Yuna had never drank before but she decided to try at least one beer, Paine too got a beer, Wakka had a coke, Lulu took a beer and Gippal and Baralai, who were both underage as well took a beer.
“Hey Wakka, you not drinking?”
“Well somebody’s got to stay sober, and make sure nobody accidently has sex and regret it later,” he teased, then laughed seeing six faces blush as they looked around at each other.
“Oh, like that would be so bad,” Rikku flirted, bating her eyelashes at Wakka.
“Ewww, don’t go there Rikku,” Wakka faked disgust, at the thought of being with Rikku.
“Oh,” Rikku said, dropping her eyes in pretend sadness, “you don’t find me appealing?”
“Sure, Rikku, but I’m 25 and your like 13,” Wakka said.
“Hey,” Rikku yelled, “I’m 17!” (Besides, I’m not interested in boys,) Rikku whispered.
“Really! I had no idea,” Wakka said laughing. “I thought for sure you were only 13.”
“Okay, you two stop flirting,” Lulu said, opening her beer and taking a long drink.
“Ewww,” Rikku and Wakka said together.
Everyone began to crack up.
Rikku opened her beer and took a big drink, (Yuck,) she yelled, making a face, and swallowing it down. Holding her nose, she quickly downed the rest of the can.
“Whoa, slow down Rikku,” Lulu cautioned, drinking more of her own beer.
“Now you tell me,” Rikku groaned, her face getting red, from drinking to fast.
Paine had already downed her first beer, and grabbed another. Opening the can, she started to slowly sip her second beer.
“I see you’ve drank before, Paine,” Lulu said seeing her go for her second beer unaffected.
“Oh, um yeah,” Paine muttered, talking a big drink.
It was another story for Yuna, who had just finished her first beer. It was already starting to affect her, and she wobbled when she tried to stand. “Woo, oops,” she giggled, falling in Rikku’s lap.
Rikku giggled to, her beer starting to affect her as well. “Oopsies, Yuna fell.”
“We can see that,” Gippal laughed.
“Looks like you two are hammered,” Baralai slurred.
“But we’fe only had onne beerrr,” Yuna said, her words slurred. She tried to get up off Rikku, but fell again.
“One beer too many,” Wakka said, picking Yuna up. Yuna giggled and wrapped her arms around Wakka’s neck.
“We should of seen this coming,” Lulu said, starting on her third beer.
“Lu, can they rest in your room?”
“Sure, Wakka,” Lulu said, getting up and helping a wobbling Rikku to her feet.
“I is finnne, Luuluuuu,” Rikku said.
“I don’t think so,” Lulu, said picking the girl up, and struggling to carry her to the bedroom. “Geez, you’re heavy.”
Rikku did not hear her, because she had passed out.
“They okay,” Paine asked, as Wakka and Lulu came back?
“Yeah, they’re sleeping,” Lulu said.
“Well, I think I’ve had enough,” Gippal said, throwing his second beer in the trash.
“Me too,” Baralai said, throwing his can in the trash. He only had one.
“Me too, I guess,I don’t feel like getting drunk,” Lulu said finishing her third beer.
“Same here,” Paine said, gulping down the rest of her second beer. She felt slightly light headed, but not anything really bad.
Wakka laughed, “well I’m having another,” he said grabbing a second coke.
“Oh, wow, Wakka. Drink that coke,” Lulu teased.
“Ah, shudup.”
The group started to laugh quietly, muffling their laughter with their hands.
The next morning everyone paid for their drinking, well all but Wakka.
“Ugh,” Rikku muttered, covering her eyes, “can’t somebody turn off the sun.”
Covering her eyes too, Yuna smiled, then groaned, bending over and puking in the grass, “sorry, no can do, Rikku,” she said when she was done spilling her guts.
“Phooey,” Rikku grumbled.
Coming out of Lulu’s Hut, where everyonehad spent the night, Paine shielded her eyes, “Oh, I have the biggest migraine,” she complained.
“You're not the only one,” Baralai said, walking out behind Paine.
Lulu and Gippal came out next, “I see were all in the same boat,” Lulu said, holding her hand against her temple.
“Booo,” Wakka yelled, coming out.
“Ahhhh,” everyone screamed, covering their ears.
“Oops, sorry,” Wakka said, with a evil glint in his eyes. “Hangovers, huh?”
“Yes, so shut up,” Rikku grumbled. “And you did that on purpose.”
“Me,” Wakka said, pointing at his chest, “I would never.”
“Shudup,” everyone yelled. Then they moaned, covering their ears.
