Weddings and Confessions

Wakka paled, his eyes going wide. Soon his face started to burn, going redder then his hair.

“What…. Umm, I…” Wakka mumbled, not finding a coherent word to say at the moment.

Tidus smiled, “it’s okay, Wakka. I realized something after you told me that.”

“Y-you did?” Wakka asked.

“Yeah, even though I don’t quite understand how I feel, I know I do have feelings for you. It actually makes me feel really happy that you care so much about me. I never imagined that anyone would ever feel this way about me.”

Tidus glanced at Wakka, “I just ask one thing; Wakka will you please give me some time to think this over? I want to understand these feelings more before I act on them.”

Wakka blinked, his mouth gaping. He smiled. He felt so happy he could scream. Tidus had feelings for him. Wakka didn’t even care that Tidus didn’t understand them yet, he was just happy that Tidus had any feelings at all for him.

“Yes, of course! Take all the time you need.” Wakka said, grabbing Tidus in a hug.

Tidus gasped, but let himself be held. “Can I ask something else?”

“Sure.”

“Please promise me, Wakka, that you’ll never look so sad like that again. I hate it when you look that way; it hurts so much to see you sad.” Tidus frowned, moving to look at Wakka with his eyes wide and watery.

Wakka gulped. Tidus was so dang cute; what with those deep blue eyes and how he could make his lip quiver.

“I promise.” Wakka whispered. “I really love you, Tidus and I never want to worry you.”

Wakka sighed; he was so happy. He felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

“Just why are you staring at me?” Auron asked Luzzu looking across the room at the redhead.

Luzzu jumped, looking away from Auron.

“I’m not,” he lied, flushing.

“You are; do you see something you like?” Auron asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Mm… yes!” Luzzu blurted. Luzzu gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth.

Auron chuckled; it had been so obvious. Auron had figured it out almost as soon as he’d met Luzzu.

“Don’t be so shy,” Auron said, walking over to Luzzu.

“You know there’s something I see that I like as well.” Auron smirked.

Luzzu’s eyes went wide.

“Auron there’s no record of you being such a flirt.” Luzzu said as he was pushed into a corner.

“Of course not; I only flirt with people I really like.” Auron smiled softly.

Luzzu’s eyes widened. “You like me?”

Auron smiled, “yes, I do.” he said, leaning down to gently kiss Luzzu on the mouth. True, he usually went for blonds, but he liked redheads just as much.

“Yuna?” Rikku walked into the bedroom, seeing Yuna sitting on her bed.

Yuna looked up and smiled at her ‘cousin’. “Hi, Rikku. What’s up?”

Rikku blushed, sitting down next to Yuna. “I just wanted to tell you that I love you.” Rikku’s blush grew.

Yuna’s eyes widened, “where’s this coming from all a sudden?”

“Well I’ve just been watching Gippal and Baralai be all lovey dovey and I want to be able to do that whenever I want to with you… if you feel the same way.”

“Feel the same way? Rikku, you know I do. I love you, too.” Yuna said, crawling over to Rikku. She pulled the other into a hug, then leaned up to kiss her gently on the lips.

---

“Baralai?”

Gippal glanced over at Baralai who was laying on the beach, looking up at the night sky with wide eyes.

“Wow.” Baralai breathed.

Gippal smiled, “I know.”

Both were breathing hard as they looked at each other.

“I never imagined it could feel that good.” Baralai said with a blush.

“And I never imagined we’d end up doing it out in the open like this.” Gippal smirked.

Baralai blushed, “it sorta just happened…”

“Yeah, I bet we gave a bunch of islanders a good show.”

“A beautiful show of love and passion,” Baralai whispered, leaning over to kiss Gippal on the lips.

Gippal grinned, “ahh, so you’re ready for another round?”

Baralai flushed, “umm, yeah, actually.”

“Tell me we did not just see that?” Lulu said, looking over at Paine, her cheeks red.

Paine nodded, “I think we did.”

Paine had asked Lulu to take a walk with her when the two happened upon a couple really going at it on the beach. It didn’t take long for them to realize who it was either.

“That’s one side of Baralai and Gippal I’ve never seen before,” Paine said.

“Yeah… wow, that was hot…” Lulu chuckled, “which is odd.”

“Why odd?” Paine asked.

“Ohh… I don’t know if you know but… I’m not so much into guys as I’m into… well to put it frankly, into girls.”

Paine’s eyes went wide; so there was hope for her after all?

“What’s wrong?” Lulu asked, startled by the look on Paine’s face.

“If you like girls… would you mind so much if I… asked you out on a date?” Paine flushed, biting her lip.

Lulu blinked, “me?”

“Yeah,” Paine nodded.

Lulu smiled, “actually, I quite like that idea.”

Paine beamed, which would be a odd sight for her friends; Paine never beamed.

“That’s great!” Paine smiled, which would also be a odd sight for her friends.

“So where should we go on this date?” Lulu asked, really taken aback by Paine’s unusual smile; Paine looked so pretty when she looked happy.

“Oh, I hadn’t thought that far,” Paine said, scratching the back of her head.

Lulu smiled, “dinner and a movie?”

“That sounds great.” Paine said, moving to hug Lulu.

Lulu smiled, hugging Paine back. This felt like the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

---

Weeks went by and everyone’s friendship and relationships grew. Lulu and Paine’s first innocent date was the start of something very beautiful indeed. It didn’t take long for the dark haired mage to quickly fall for Paine’s cold personality. Lulu saw the real Paine under that cold look and bored voice.

Baralai and Gippal continued to see each other, becoming even more open about their relationship; they’ve since had sex on the beach numerous times; most times other people had been lucky, or unlucky (depends on how you look at it) to walk up on them and whiteness everything.

Rikku and Yuna started to travel around the world, sharing their love with everyone. They were very happy at how well most took to them being together; some were surprised and sick at the thought of cousins being together, but they quickly got over that when they learned the truth about Rikku and Yuna.

The only ones whose relationship hadn’t grown was Wakka and Tidus’

Tidus had yet to voice his true feeling for Wakka, but on this day, three weeks after confronting Wakka, Tidus felt ready to say how he felt inside.

At the moment, Tidus was sitting on his and Wakka’s shared bed, biting his lip.

Wakka walked into the room, spotting Tidus; he smiled, but quickly frowned when he noticed Tidus looked upset.

“What’s wrong, Ai?” Wakka asked, sitting down next to Tidus.

Tidus grinned, hearing Wakka’s words of endearment. He knew that Ai was another language for love and he felt really happy that Wakka still loved him, even after Tidus had made him wait all this time.

“I was just wanting to tell you something and I’m a little nervous, I guess.” Tidus looked over at Wakka.

“Huh, why would you be?”

“Because I’ve never said something like this to anyone…” Tidus flushed, “I’m sorry it took so long for me to understand how I feel… Thank you for giving me the time.”

“I want to… tell you that I’m no longer confused and I except my feelings and I’m so happy I have them because you’re the sweetest person I know.” Tidus rambled on.

“Well… what I’m trying to say is that I love you, too.”

Wakka beamed. “Really!?” Wakka scooted closer to Tidus.

“Yes, really.” Tidus nodded.

“Oh, that makes me feel so happy, Ti.” Wakka sighed, “can I kiss you?”

Tidus flushed, nodding, “yeah, I thought you’d never ask.” he said, leaning up to meet Wakka’s lips in a searing kiss.

Two Years Later

“Aww, they look so beautiful!” Tidus gushed, looking over at Paine and Lulu. Tears fell down his cheeks. Happy tears for his dear, dear friends on their most happy day.

“Look, Lulu’s throwing the bouquet.” Wakka pointed, giving Tidus a nudge toward the group of girls waiting to catch the flowers.

Lulu locked eyes with Tidus, then threw the flowers high up into Luca’s sky.

“I…” Wide blue eyes stared down at his hands. Tidus turned to Wakka, waving the flowers, “look, Wakka, I caught the bouquet!”

“Tidus and Wakka’s wedding is next!” Rikku yelled out.

Everyone around started to cheer and clap.

Wakka smiled softly; Rikku had the best ideas sometimes.
